The most direct planned route for Soul Fragments in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is to unlock Fellhollow, enter a Spectral Door while in spectral form, and mine the Soul Stones inside. A guide updated September 22, 2026 estimates roughly 100 fragments per run, but that is an estimate—not a guaranteed or independently verified version 1.0 yield. If you would rather fight, Green Dragons and Zogres are alternatives; undead routes can also bring in fragments alongside other useful drops.
Where to find Soul Fragments
Soul Fragments are a special in-game material. The main planned gathering route is inside a chamber reached through a Spectral Door in Fellhollow: activate spectral form near the door, enter, then mine the Soul Stones. Combat drops provide another option, especially if you want to combine fragment farming with other materials.

Fellhollow is a progression-gated region. Its listed entry requirements are completing Dragon Slayer and starting Withering Heights. The version 1.0 region guide assigns it power level 5 and lists subareas including Bleakfields Valley, Dragon’s Run, Emberwood, Witchwillow Range, Hope’s Fall, Lake of Lost Souls, and Silverthorn Keep. See the Fellhollow region and subarea guide for the map context.

How to farm Soul Fragments through a Spectral Door
- Unlock Fellhollow. Complete Dragon Slayer and begin Withering Heights before planning this route.
- Find a Spectral Door. You cannot pass through it in normal form. Stand in the nearby red corruption and wait for spectral form to activate.
- Enter prepared. The route guide recommends preparing before crossing and leaving room to recover afterward. The available guide does not establish a specific equipment list or recovery mechanic, so plan around your own readiness rather than assuming a fixed loadout.
- Mine the Soul Stones. The chamber’s Soul Stones are the target. The September 22, 2026 guide estimates roughly 100 Soul Fragments per run; it does not provide a documented in-game test or establish a guaranteed 1.0 yield. The route is described at NerdsChalk’s Soul Fragment route guide.
- Extend the trip only if useful. The route guide also discusses collecting nearby chests and hunting Green Dragons as additions. Choose extra stops for drops you actually need rather than treating them as required parts of every run.
Choose a route by target and companion drops
Combat can make sense when you prefer fighting or need a target’s other drops. The figures below come from an unofficial database updated August 31, 2026, whose table is explicitly verified for version 0.12.1. Since version 1.0 launched September 15, 2026, treat these as version-qualified database figures, not confirmed post-launch rates.

| Route or target | Fragment figure in the 0.12.1 database | When it may fit |
|---|---|---|
| Spectral Door chamber | Roughly 100 per run, as estimated by the September 22, 2026 route guide; not an independently tested 1.0 yield. | Best fit for a prepared gathering run if you have Fellhollow access. |
| Green Dragon | 40–50 per kill, listed as always. | A combat-focused detour or alternative, according to the route guide. |
| Zogre | 20 per kill, listed as always. | Another combat option; the same figure carries the database’s 0.12.1 qualification. |
| Zombie | 1 per kill, listed as always. | More suitable as part of an undead circuit where companion drops matter than as a fragment-only target. |
| Skeletal Archer | 1 listed as always, plus a separate 3–5 entry at 25/100. | Potentially useful in an undead route; the entries are database drop-table figures, not confirmed 1.0 rates. |
| Several skeleton and Rotsworn entries | One guaranteed fragment plus separate 3–5 entries at 25/100. | Consider these where the route also serves your other material needs; individual entries vary. |
These database figures and their version label are listed on the Dragonwilds Codex Soul Fragment page. The table should not be read as a current, tested ranking of fragments per minute: travel time, fights, respawns, and live 1.0 balance are not established by those figures.
Plan an undead circuit for more than fragments
The July 25, 2026 Fellhollow undead route guide groups common undead and named enemies across the region. It mentions zombies around Lake of Lost Souls and successive zombie spawns in Bleakfields Valley, alongside skeletons, Rotsworn, Ghost Wolves, Lost Souls, Razlem, and Zogre. It does not claim every target shares one spawn point.

The Dragonwilds Codex lists the Shadow Sword and Spectral Silver Thread among Soul Fragment uses. A separate quest guide says fragments are spent at Death’s Exchange and discusses a 25-fragment crystal purchase during Seeking Salvation. The purchase figure is specific to that guide’s quest discussion, not a general crafting cost. Its page also reports disagreement among sources about the cracked wall and statue landmarks, so those details should not be treated as settled navigation instructions.
