Roku’s standard Pro OLED offers 55- and 65-inch sizes, 120Hz gaming features, Dolby Vision, and Roku OS. LG’s B5 comes in more sizes and adds features including Filmmaker Mode, Dolby Vision, and gaming support up to 120Hz. No direct independent Roku-versus-B5 test is established here, so neither can be declared the brighter or better-performing TV from the available measurements.
Which models are being compared?
“LG B-series” can refer to different model years. The verified LG product in this comparison is the 2025 LG OLED B5; the Roku is the 2026 Roku Pro Series OLED. LG B5 specifications are not a substitute for a later B-series model’s specifications, so check the exact year and model number if you are shopping for a newer LG.

Roku’s standard Pro OLED is available in 55 and 65 inches. LG announced the B5 in 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches. Compare sets of the same size and check the exact SKU: Roku’s product materials use 55RAD5 and 65RAD5 in some places, while its support page lists 55RADX and 65RADX.

Which is better for gaming?
Both sets have a 120Hz-class feature set, but their listed gaming specifications are not identical. Roku identifies two HDMI 2.1 ports on the standard Pro OLED and lists VRR, ALLM, and FreeSync Premium. LG lists VRR, NVIDIA G-Sync, and AMD FreeSync Premium for the B5. Check the input and settings requirements for your console or PC before assuming a particular feature works in your preferred setup.
Do not confuse the standard Roku Pro OLED with Roku’s separate Pro LX. Roku positions the LX as its brighter OLED and the model with VRR up to 144Hz; those claims do not describe the standard Pro model in this comparison.

Can you tell which one has the brighter picture?
Not from the cited measurements. Tom’s Guide reported 2026 Roku Pro OLED readings of 331 nits SDR and 574 nits HDR, each measured at a 10% window. Its other reported results were Delta-E 2.3 and 70.7% Rec. 2020 gamut coverage. These are that outlet’s test results, not guaranteed performance in every setup.

The test does not establish a Roku-versus-B5 brightness comparison: it compared Roku with LG C6 and Samsung S90H, not the B5. Its measurement modes also differed: the LG C6 and Samsung S90H were tested in Filmmaker mode, while Roku used Movie mode for SDR and HDR Dark with Display Brightness set to Brighter for HDR. Do not use those Roku readings alone to claim that it is brighter or dimmer than the B5. See Tom’s Guide’s Roku Pro Series OLED review for the reported test context.

Which one makes more sense for your room and viewing habits?
Choose Roku if its platform and price fit
- You want Roku OS built into the TV and prefer its interface.
- The standard 55- or 65-inch model is the size you need, and its live price is compelling against a same-size B5.
- You want Dolby Vision and Roku’s listed 120Hz gaming features in the standard Pro OLED.
Roku positions the standard Pro OLED for cinematic viewing in a dark room. That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent comparison showing that it outperforms the B5.
Choose LG if its features or size range suit you
- You want a 77- or 83-inch option, which is not listed for the standard Roku Pro OLED.
- Filmmaker Mode or LG’s documented B5 gaming features are priorities for your setup.
- You prefer webOS and its app and LG Channels offering, subject to regional availability.
LG describes the B5 as having more than 8.3 million self-lit pixels and says its AI Picture & Sound Wizard analyzes more than 1.6 billion image settings and 40 million sound profiles. Those are LG’s product claims, not independent comparative test results.

How to make the final choice
- Confirm the LG year and size. Make sure the listing is for the 2025 B5, not a different B-series generation, and compare it with a Roku of the same screen size.
- Check live prices and exact SKUs. Manufacturer-page prices can change, and Roku’s listed model identifiers differ across product and support materials. Confirm the retailer’s precise model number.
- Match gaming features to your devices. Check the needed HDMI inputs, refresh rate, VRR, and compatibility for your console or PC rather than relying on a feature name alone.
- Choose the interface you will use. Roku OS and LG webOS are different smart-TV experiences; app availability can vary by region and change over time.
- For a brightness-led decision, seek comparable tests. A useful head-to-head needs the B5 tested alongside Roku with comparable methods; the cited Roku results do not provide that comparison.
