Its biggest trade-off is brightness: it is less convincing in bright spaces than brighter OLED and Mini-LED alternatives. Roku offers 55- and 65-inch models; whether the TV is affordable depends on the price available when you shop.
What the Roku Pro Series OLED offers
Roku’s 2026 Pro Series OLED is the company’s first OLED TV, available in 55-inch and 65-inch versions. Both have 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, Roku OS, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDMI 2.1, a backlit voice remote and Roku Smart Picture Max. Gaming features include VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium, with support for gaming up to 4K/120fps. Roku also advertises access through Roku OS to more than 500 free live TV channels and streaming apps; that is Roku’s claim, not an independently audited count.

Roku Support identifies the models as 55RADX and 65RADX. Be careful not to confuse this standard Pro Series OLED with Roku’s separate Pro Series LX. Roku describes the LX as the brighter OLED option, with a wider color range and VRR up to 144Hz.
Prices and sizes: “affordable” depends on the day
TechRadar reported 2026 launch prices of $999.99 for the 55-inch model and $1,199.99 for the 65-inch model. It reported a $799.99 price for the 65-inch TV during Amazon Prime Day on October 6, 2026. That was a dated, time-limited promotion, not a standing price; check the current listing before buying.

At a discount, the 65-inch version can make OLED more accessible, but a promotional price should not be mistaken for the model’s usual cost. Compare the live price of each size with competing sets before deciding.
Picture quality: OLED contrast, with a brightness limit
Why the OLED panel is appealing
OLED pixels can switch off individually, giving the TV the deep blacks and strong contrast that make dark scenes compelling. TechRadar’s reviewer found the Roku’s black levels a strength and its color good, though not exceptional. That combination is most rewarding in a dim room, where bright-room reflections are less distracting.

How bright is it?
The available reviews point to a real limitation for bright rooms, but their measurements use different test methods and should not be compared directly. In TechRadar’s 2026 test, the Roku reached 462 nits on a 10% HDR window in Filmmaker Mode and 96 nits full-screen. In the same setup, the LG B6 measured 835 and 150 nits, while the TCL QM7L measured 2,270 and 723 nits, respectively. These are results from TechRadar’s stated test setup, not guaranteed performance in every picture mode or room.

It measured 574 nits on a 10% HDR window for the Roku, versus 1,365 for the LG C6 and 1,497 for the Samsung S90H. In that publication’s testing, Rec. 2020 color-gamut coverage was 70.7% for the Roku, 75.8% for the LG and 77.8% for the Samsung. Tom’s Guide reported that the Roku handled everyday SDR content but lagged those rivals in HDR brightness and color range. Results can vary with picture settings; these figures should not be combined with TechRadar’s measurements.

TechRadar also found the screen vulnerable to reflections in bright rooms. If you watch with strong daylight or lights facing the screen, a brighter alternative may be a better fit even if it cannot match OLED’s black levels.
Gaming and Roku OS
The standard Pro Series OLED’s 120Hz panel, HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium make it a well-equipped option for compatible gaming setups. Roku lists support for gaming up to 4K/120fps. That feature set is distinct from the Pro Series LX’s advertised VRR support up to 144Hz.

Roku OS is a central part of the proposition: choose this TV if you want Roku’s built-in interface rather than adding a separate streaming device. Roku says its platform provides access to 500-plus free live TV channels and streaming apps, but app availability and channel counts can change.
Sound: usable for TV, but short on bass
TechRadar’s reviewer found the TV’s sound good enough for ordinary viewing without a soundbar, but noted limited low-end impact. The OLED model is thinner than the 2025 Pro Series, leaving less room for speakers and ports; TechRadar says the older model sounded better and also had hands-free control. A soundbar with a subwoofer is worth considering if stronger bass or fuller movie sound matters to you, but the review does not establish that one is necessary for everyday watching.

How it compares with the alternatives
| TV | What the available evidence suggests | Consider it if… |
|---|---|---|
| Roku Pro Series OLED | OLED contrast, Roku OS, 4K/120Hz and gaming features; brightness and reflection handling are the main trade-offs. | You want OLED and Roku’s interface for a darker or moderately lit room. |
| LG B6 | In TechRadar’s 2026 test, it measured 835 nits on a 10% HDR window and 150 nits full-screen, compared with the Roku’s 462 and 96. Results reflect that publication’s setup. | You are comparing budget OLEDs and want to weigh brightness against price and platform. |
| TCL QM7L | A Mini-LED alternative; TechRadar measured 2,270 nits on a 10% HDR window and 723 nits full-screen in its 2026 setup, versus the Roku’s 462 and 96. | Your room is bright and screen brightness matters more than OLED black levels. |
| 2025 Roku Pro Series | It is not the OLED model; TechRadar says it has stronger sound and hands-free control. | You prefer those features to the OLED panel’s contrast. |
| Roku Pro Series LX | A separate Roku OLED option that Roku describes as brighter, with a wider color range and VRR up to 144Hz. | You want to compare Roku’s step-up OLED with the standard Pro Series. |
Tom’s Guide’s comparison with the LG C6 and Samsung S90H also found higher HDR-window brightness and Rec. 2020 coverage for those models under its own test method. Since its settings differ from TechRadar’s, use those measurements as a separate comparison rather than ranking them against TechRadar’s figures.
Who should buy it?
- Consider it if OLED contrast and Roku OS are priorities, your room is not consistently bright, and the live price fits your budget.
- Look elsewhere if you need a particularly bright screen for a sunlit room, want stronger built-in bass, or value the 2025 Pro Series’ hands-free control.
- Compare the LX if you want to stay with Roku but are considering its claimed brighter OLED option and higher VRR ceiling.
The Roku Pro Series OLED is a good match for the right room and viewer, not a universal best-value TV. Judge its value using the price available now, the size you need and the brightness trade-off—not a past sale price.
