A deal report published by Neowin on October 5, 2026, listed the 2026 Roku 55-inch Select Series 4K TV (model 55R5D5) for $229.99, down from a stated usual price of $249.99. That is a $20, roughly 8% reduction—but the price and availability are historical claims, not a confirmed live offer. Neowin described the deal as U.S.-only and requiring Amazon Prime. Is the $20 Roku TV deal still available?
It is not possible to confirm from the October 5, 2026 report whether the offer remains available now. The reported $229.99 price, $249.99 usual price, seller, stock, and Prime requirement should all be checked on the current retailer listing before purchase. Neowin said its Amazon links pointed to first-party seller listings at publication time; that does not establish who sells the television today.

The reported saving is the arithmetic difference between $249.99 and $229.99. The 8% figure was Neowin’s rounded characterization, not an independently verified price-history finding. The report does not establish how often the TV sells at either price.

What to check before buying
- Match the model: Confirm that the listing is for model 55R5D5, not another Roku television with a similar name.
- Verify the checkout price: Check the item price, shipping, taxes, and whether Prime is still required. The reported $229.99 offer was U.S.-specific and Prime-required.
- Check the seller and terms: Review who is selling and fulfilling the item, along with the current return policy and delivery estimate.
- Confirm the features you need: Verify the display formats, ports, wireless features, and mounting pattern against documentation for this exact model.
What the report does—and does not—establish
This is a dated deal report, not a hands-on review or comparison. It provides no test evidence for picture quality, speed, reliability, or gaming performance, and it does not establish how the 55R5D5 compares with other televisions. Treat the reported specifications as a starting point for checking the exact product, not as a performance verdict.
