It provides one HDMI 2.1 output, three USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet and USB-C power input through a fixed 60cm host cable. ASUS rates the dock for up to 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz, and for passing up to 80W to the connected handheld—but reaching the full 80W requires your own 100W-or-higher USB-C Power Delivery charger.
What ports are on the DG310?
| Port or feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Display output | One HDMI 2.1 output; up to 3840×2160 at 144Hz or 7680×4320 at 30Hz, with HDR, VRR and ALLM support |
| USB-A | Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports rated at 5Gbps |
| USB-A power ratings | Two ports at 5V/0.9A; one port at 5V/1.5A |
| Network | One Gigabit Ethernet port |
| Power input | USB-C Power Delivery input up to 100W |
| Host connection | Fixed 60cm USB-C cable with a 90-degree connector |
The three USB-A ports are suitable for wired controllers, keyboards, mice, storage devices and other peripherals. Their 5Gbps rating is the USB link speed; real-world transfers vary with the connected device, storage media and operating system.

Can it run 4K at 144Hz?
ASUS lists 4K (3840×2160) at 144Hz as the dock’s maximum HDMI mode, along with 8K (7680×4320) at 30Hz. HDR, variable refresh rate and automatic low-latency mode are also supported. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements.

Your actual output can be lower. The handheld or computer must expose enough DisplayPort Alt Mode bandwidth over USB-C, the HDMI cable must support the required signal, and the monitor or television must accept the selected resolution and refresh rate. If a 4K display only offers 60Hz, the dock cannot make it run at 144Hz. For a high-refresh setup, use a certified HDMI 2.1 cable and select the desired mode in the host’s display settings.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
How many monitors can it connect?
Only one external display is supported because the DG310 has one HDMI output. It cannot drive two independent monitors from its own ports. The handheld’s built-in screen may remain available depending on the operating system and graphics settings, but the dock itself provides a single external-display connection.
Power delivery and charger requirements
The dock accepts up to 100W through USB-C and passes up to 80W to the host. ASUS specifies a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger for full 80W passthrough, and the charger is not included in the box. A lower-rated charger can still power the dock, but the host may receive less power and may limit performance or battery charging under load.

- Connect a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger to the dock’s power-input port.
- Connect the dock’s fixed 60cm USB-C cable to the handheld or computer.
- Attach HDMI, Ethernet and USB accessories as needed.
- Confirm the host is charging, then choose the display resolution and refresh rate in Windows, macOS or Android settings.
Power is shared with the dock and its peripherals, so the 80W figure is a maximum passthrough rating rather than a guarantee that every connected setup will draw exactly 80W.
Compatibility: ROG Xbox Ally and other devices
The stand is shaped for the ROG Xbox Ally (2025), ROG Xbox Ally X (2025) and ROG Xbox Ally X20 (2026). Other handhelds, laptops and tablets can use the ports when their USB-C connection supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery.

ASUS lists compatibility with Windows 11 or later, macOS 12.3 or later and Android 14 or later, without requiring a separate driver installation. Physical fit and ventilation still matter: a device that is too thick or blocks its intake and exhaust openings should not be forced into the stand.
ROG Xbox Ally features
With a ROG Xbox Ally connected, ASUS says the dock can trigger Game Mode automatically when attached to a TV. It also supports one-touch Bluetooth pairing for controllers, keyboards, headsets and other peripherals. These are ecosystem features; a different USB-C handheld may not expose the same behavior.

Design, cable routing and lighting
The permanently attached 60cm cable uses a 90-degree connector to reduce strain and keep the cable closer to the dock and handheld. Because it is fixed, replacing it with a longer or shorter host cable is not an option if your setup needs a different reach.
Four RGB modes are available: Static, Breathing, Color Cycle and Rainbow. Pressing the lighting button twice turns the RGB lighting off. The lighting is cosmetic and does not change bandwidth, charging or display capability.

Size and weight
ASUS Support lists dimensions of 181.6 × 86.6 × 31.6 mm and an approximate weight of 262 ±10 g. Those measurements describe the dock itself; the charger, HDMI cable and connected accessories add to the equipment you must carry.
What to check before buying
- USB-C video support: Verify that your handheld or computer supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, not USB-C data and charging alone.
- Charger: Budget for a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger because ASUS does not include one.
- Display target: Treat 4K/144Hz and 8K/30Hz as maximum dock modes subject to the host, cable and display.
- Monitor count: Choose another solution if you need two external displays.
- Stand clearance: Check the handheld’s thickness and airflow path before placing it in the cradle.
- Regional availability: ASUS product pages show regional “coming soon” or “where to buy” states rather than a universal price, so availability and pricing must be checked for your market.
Who the DG310 suits
The DG310 is a good fit for a handheld owner who wants a single-cable desk or TV connection, wired networking, several USB peripherals and high-refresh HDMI capability in one stand. It is less suitable for users who need dual-monitor output, a bundled charger, a detachable host cable or guaranteed 80W charging from an existing lower-power adapter.
ASUS summarizes the latency rationale plainly: “A wired connection will always offer lower latency and be more reliable than even the best wireless setup.” That advantage applies to the dock’s wired Ethernet and USB connections, while display latency still depends on the host, television or monitor and game settings.
