If Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts is not showing up, first check that you are playing on a supported platform, then confirm the DLC belongs to the account you are using, and finally check whether it is installed. Those are different problems with different fixes: reinstalling cannot add an entitlement that is missing from your account.

The cited launch information does not establish support for Switch, PS4, or Xbox One. 2K’s October 8, 2026 patch notes list the release platforms; the PlayStation Store listing is for PS5, and the Xbox Store listing is for Xbox Series X|S. Store availability can vary by region, so check the listing for your account and location.

First, identify what “not showing up” means
Hallowed Concepts may be absent from the store or your library, visible as owned but not installed, or installed yet unavailable in the game. Use the matching check below rather than starting with a full reinstall.
- Not listed as owned: Check platform eligibility and the account that made the purchase.
- Owned but not installed: Use the platform’s DLC or add-on installation controls.
- Installed but unavailable in-game: Repair the platform or game state, then check whether you personally own the DLC or are only seeing content enabled by another player.

Confirm you are on a listed platform
The October 2026 release information names PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It does not establish that Hallowed Concepts is available for Switch, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One. The fact that the base game exists on another platform is not proof that this expansion supports it.

Make sure the signed-in account owns the DLC
On Steam, open Library, right-click Risk of Rain 2, choose Properties, then select DLC. Valve says that if the DLC does not appear on that tab, the account does not own it. Check that Steam is signed into the account associated with the purchase and review its purchase history before troubleshooting downloads. The DLC tab also shows installation status and can be used to start a download. See Valve’s Steamworks DLC documentation.
On PlayStation or Xbox, check that Hallowed Concepts is shown as owned for the same account you use to launch the game. The available platform listings confirm the supported console editions, but do not provide a game-specific menu sequence for checking ownership. If the purchase is missing or the entitlement appears on a different account, contact the relevant platform’s support rather than reinstalling the game.

Install the DLC and repair the game state
If the DLC is owned but not installed, install it from the platform’s add-on controls. On Steam, start from Library > right-click Risk of Rain 2 > Properties > DLC and check its installation state. Then use the repair steps for your platform.

- In the game’s Properties > DLC tab, confirm Hallowed Concepts is selected for installation and allow its download to finish.
- Temporarily remove mods, then verify the game files through Steam. 2K recommends both steps for Steam troubleshooting.
- If the problem remains, clear the system or game cache and reinstall the DLC by itself.
- If reinstalling only the DLC does not help, uninstall and reinstall Risk of Rain 2 together with all its DLC.
PlayStation 5
- Verify the console licenses for the account that owns Hallowed Concepts.
- Clear the system or game cache and make sure the console firmware is current.
- Reinstall the DLC alone first. If that fails, reinstall the full game and all DLC.
Xbox Series X|S
- Remove your Xbox profile from the console, then add it again, as 2K recommends for this issue.

These are troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed fix. 2K gives the same general escalation order across its guidance: clear cache, update console firmware where applicable, reinstall the DLC first, and reinstall the full game with all DLC only if the issue persists. Understand what a friend’s DLC ownership changes
In a Steam lobby, one player owning Hallowed Concepts is enough to enable its monsters, levels, and items for the whole lobby. That does not grant every player individual ownership. Players without the expansion cannot select its new survivors or permanently unlock its new items, logbooks, or other content. So seeing expansion content during a friend’s run does not prove that your account owns the DLC. This behavior is described on the Steam Hallowed Concepts listing.

If the platform lists the DLC as owned but it remains unavailable after the relevant repair steps, contact the platform’s support or 2K. Include your platform and edition, the account that owns the purchase, whether the DLC appears as installed, and which troubleshooting steps you have completed. The published guidance does not diagnose every account-specific entitlement failure, so support can check the purchase and license state without you having to guess at compatibility.
