Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is getting physical Nintendo Switch 2 editions from Limited Run Games: a standard edition and a collector’s edition. This is a physical-release announcement, not the game’s Switch 2 debut—the digital version was listed for release on 9 June 2026.
When can you preorder the physical editions?
Limited Run Games’ product pages give both editions a preorder closing time of 15 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Nintendo Life reported on 6 October that preorders were scheduled to open on 9 October. On 7 October, the seller pages still showed “Coming Soon,” so check the listings for current availability, price and status.

What game and content are included?
Nintendo lists the Switch 2 release as the “20 Year Celebration” complete edition, published by Aspyr, with a 9 June 2026 release date and a 17.6 GB download size. Nintendo’s listing and Limited Run Games’ descriptions identify a broad bundle of additional content; the seller describes the physical editions as including all DLC and exclusive content. The pages do not establish that the physical copies add exclusive gameplay content beyond the complete edition.
- Story expansions: Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch and Blood Ties.
- Additional modes and content: Cold Darkness Awakened, Lara’s Nightmare, Endurance Mode and Co-op Endurance.
- Other listed bonuses: eight DLC outfits, seven DLC weapons, 35 expansion cards, Extreme Survivor Difficulty, five classic Lara skins and the TR III Reimagined “Antarctica” outfit.
How does the Switch 2 version play?
Nintendo lists handheld, tabletop and TV modes, touch-screen features, online play and Save Data Cloud support. Its listing says single-system play supports one to two players and online play supports two. Limited Run Games’ pages instead list single-system play for one player and online play for two, so the advertised local player count differs between the publisher and seller listings.
