The October 2026 Warhammer Community reveal names Blood Bowl Star Players Ripper Bolgrot and Fungus the Loon, but the announcement’s product details could not be verified. Their established on-pitch rules are clear; kit contents, price, release date, material, regional availability, and whether the reveal includes a Fungus miniature are not.
What is confirmed about the reveal?
A Reddit post dated October 12, 2026, points to a Warhammer Community announcement titled “Ripper Bolgrot and Fungus take to the gridiron.” The official page returned an internal error when checked, so the announcement’s specific product information remains unconfirmed. The post establishes that the reveal was being shared, not what the release contains. Reddit post

What makes Ripper Bolgrot unusual on the pitch?
Ripper is a Troll Star Player with Strength 6. Warhammer Community’s Goblin tactics article says he does not suffer from Always Hungry or Really Stupid, reducing two familiar sources of uncertainty for a Troll. His Thinking Man’s Troll rule grants one re-roll each half. Those are game rules, not claims about a newly announced miniature. Warhammer Community’s Goblin tactics article

Was there already a Ripper Bolgrot miniature?
Yes. A specialist reference documents a five-component resin Ripper Bolgrot model released by Forge World in July 2023. That is historical product context only: it does not confirm current stock, the contents or material of the October 2026 reveal, or whether a different kit is coming. Forge World reference

What should buyers wait to confirm?
- Whether the reveal is for a new miniature, a rerelease, or another product format.
- Whether Fungus has a miniature in the release, and whether either Star Player is sold separately or in a combined kit.
- Confirmed model count, components, material, price, release timing, and regional availability.
- Current regional product listings, which may provide sale and availability details absent from the announcement.
Until the official announcement or regional listings can be checked, the rules profiles and the older Ripper model are the dependable context—not evidence of a new kit’s specifications.
