Rip It! Card Collector is a single-player incremental card-collecting game on Steam. Its free demo is available now, and the full game is scheduled to launch on October 30, 2026. The demo is also scheduled to appear during Steam Next Fest, which begins October 19, 2026.

The game turns opening booster packs into a repeatable progression loop: open packs, sort cards into a binder, sell duplicates, and spend the proceeds on upgrades that speed up future runs.

What you do in Rip It! Card Collector

The core activity is opening digital booster packs and managing what comes out of them. Cards are sorted into a collection binder, while duplicates can be sold to generate the money needed for progression. That creates the game’s incremental structure: each round of pack opening helps finance equipment and workflow improvements for the next one.

The demo supports the complete basic loop described by the official Steam community page:

  • Open booster packs.
  • Sort newly found cards into the binder.
  • Sell duplicate cards.
  • Level up your operation.
  • Use the Rip Rig to open multiple packs.

Rather than treating pack opening as a single isolated action, the game makes collection management and reinvestment part of the same system. Players are expected to balance the value of keeping cards for completion against the immediate usefulness of selling duplicates.

How the collection is structured

Rip It! Card Collector features hand-drawn cards, multiple sets and cards with different rarity levels. The collection is organized through a binder, giving completionists a clear way to track what they have found and what remains missing.

Edition Cards What the figure represents
Demo 369 Cards of various rarities available in the demo, according to Team Ballistic
Planned full game 1,809 Planned total card count for the full release, according to Team Ballistic

The figures are substantially different because the demo is a limited slice of the planned collection, not the full card catalog. The official FAQ identifies the demo collection as 369 cards and the planned full-game collection as 1,809 cards.

Upgrades and automation

Your workstation is an upgradable, retro-futuristic setup that supports faster handling as the collection grows. The Rip Rig is the clearest automation tool currently described: it can open multiple packs, reducing the amount of repetitive manual opening once you have progressed far enough to use it.

This makes upgrade decisions important. Early play emphasizes individual pack opening and sorting; later play can shift toward processing larger batches, selling duplicates efficiently and reinvesting earnings. The available information does not specify every upgrade, its price or its maximum level, so those details should be checked in the in-game demo rather than assumed from the announcement.

Demo availability and Steam Next Fest

The playable demo is already available on Steam and includes the game’s principal systems rather than only a visual preview. You can try pack opening, binder organization, duplicate sales, leveling and Rip Rig multi-pack opening before deciding whether the full release fits your interests.

Release information

The full game is scheduled to launch on Steam on October 30, 2026. The announcement is signed by Team Ballistic. A September 27, 2026 report by Yogomi credits Cybernetic Walrus as the developer, but the available announcements do not establish the exact relationship between those names, so they should not be treated as interchangeable company descriptions. The Yogomi report is available at Yogomi’s September 27, 2026 report.

Who is likely to enjoy it?

  • Collection-focused players: The binder, sets, rarities and large planned card count provide long-term completion goals.
  • Incremental-game fans: Selling duplicates and funding upgrades creates a repeatable earn-and-reinvest cycle.
  • Players who prefer a low-pressure solo experience: The listed format is single-player, with no multiplayer requirement described.
  • Players who want to test the loop first: The demo exposes the principal systems before launch.

It may be a weaker fit if you want competitive trading, physical cards or a confirmed multiplayer economy. The available announcement presents it as a digital single-player game and does not describe player-to-player trading or official physical merchandise.

What is confirmed—and what is not

Confirmed details include the Steam platform, current demo availability, the October 30, 2026 launch date, the October 19 Steam Next Fest window, the 369-card demo collection, the planned 1,809-card full-game collection, multiple sets, rarity levels, the binder and the Rip Rig.

The announcement does not provide a complete upgrade tree, final price, system requirements, launch-time regional availability or a full rarity breakdown. Those details should be treated as unannounced until the Steam listing or a later official update supplies them.

The planned full release expands the collection to 1,809 cards and is scheduled for October 30, 2026, while the demo is set to feature in Steam Next Fest from October 19.
