Is it really the lowest price ever?
9to5Toys said $39.99 was the lowest price it had ever tracked for this model. Its September 25, 2026 report cited a prior summer Prime Day price of $50 and earlier discounts at $70. That supports calling the offer a record low according to that outlet’s tracking, but it does not establish an exhaustive market-wide price history.

This is a battery-powered model with a built-in lithium-ion battery. Ring says existing wiring can trickle-charge it and that solar charging is supported. Its product page lists single-band Wi-Fi 4 at 2.4 GHz and recommends at least 10 Mbps upload for its 2K devices; Ring cautions that resolution can vary with available bandwidth. A strong 2.4 GHz connection and sufficient upload capacity therefore matter if you want the camera to deliver its advertised resolution consistently.
