Reset Smart Hub on a supported monitor
- Open Settings on the monitor.
- Go to All Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.
- Review the on-screen notice about what will be cleared, then follow the prompts to confirm.
- If asked for a PIN, Samsung lists 0000 as the default. If the PIN was changed, this default may not work; Samsung’s cited support instructions do not give a PIN recovery route.
Samsung’s Self Diagnosis guidance applies to 2022-and-later Smart Monitors. If a menu label differs or Reset Smart Hub is missing, check the support page or manual for your exact model and region rather than assuming another reset path is equivalent. Its instructions cover an internet or USB update route for smart TVs and monitors. Samsung warns that video and audio settings might return to their defaults after an update.

See Samsung US: Update the software on your Samsung smart TV or monitor for Samsung’s update instructions. An update and Reset Smart Hub are different actions: an update installs software, while Reset Smart Hub clears the listed Smart Hub data.
When you need a broader reset
If you mean a full monitor factory reset rather than a Smart Hub reset, consult the manual for your exact model and region. Samsung’s reviewed Self Diagnosis guidance describes the Smart Hub reset and its effects, but does not establish one full-device reset route for every Smart Monitor generation. Do not treat the Smart Hub menu option as proof that every monitor setting will be erased.
