The refreshed REM-Fit Pocket 1000 Hybrid is a 25cm, medium-firm mattress with memory foam and 1,000 full-height pocket springs. Expert Reviews’ September 2026 tester found it a broadly appealing all-rounder, with decent edge support, but noted some motion transfer and cautioned that it may not suit very hot sleepers. It could work well if you want a balanced hybrid feel; the temperature and movement caveats matter if you sleep hot or share a bed.
What is the current REM-Fit Pocket 1000 Hybrid like?
REM-Fit UK describes the current mattress as medium-firm, rated 7/10. The 25cm build combines a deep memory-foam layer with 1,000 full-height pocket springs and multi-zoned support. The manufacturer says the springs move independently and that the edges are reinforced. These are product claims, rather than independent guarantees of how the mattress will feel for every sleeper. What changed from the earlier model?
The current version is not simply the same mattress with a new review. Expert Reviews reports that the height increased from 20cm to 25cm and that memory foam replaced standard PU foam in the top comfort layer. Its description of the refreshed construction includes a removable, machine-washable cover, open-cell memory foam, a further zoned memory-foam layer, 1,000 full-size pocket springs, foam side walls and a high-density foam base. Expert Reviews published its review on 30 September 2026.

That distinction matters when comparing reviews. Tom’s Guide tested a 20cm version in 2024, and Ideal Home also tested an earlier 20cm configuration. Their observations are useful historical context, not direct tests of today’s taller, memory-foam-topped model.
How does it feel, and who might like it?
The manufacturer’s 7/10 medium-firm rating suggests a middle-ground feel rather than an especially soft or very firm mattress. Expert Reviews’ tester described the refreshed model as a broadly appealing all-rounder and listed soothing aches and pains and suitability for a variety of sleepers among its positives. Those are that reviewer’s impressions, not a promise that it will relieve pain or suit every body and sleeping position.

Perceived firmness is personal, and the older model did not feel exactly as the brand’s rating might suggest: Tom’s Guide’s testers judged their 20cm mattress closer to 6–6.5/10. Because the construction changed, that older assessment should not be treated as a firmness measurement of the current version. If you can, try the mattress in person or use the current trial terms to assess its feel at home.
Is it suitable if you sleep hot or share a bed?
Temperature
Very hot sleepers should be cautious. Expert Reviews’ 2026 review says the refreshed mattress may not suit people who sleep very hot. Tom’s Guide also found its earlier version warmer than an innerspring mattress during testing, but that result came from the older 20cm model. Neither observation establishes exactly how warm every sleeper will feel on the current mattress.

Movement between partners
The latest Expert Reviews tester noticed a small amount of motion transfer on the refreshed model. That is relevant if a partner’s movement often wakes you, even though the manufacturer highlights independently moving springs. By contrast, Tom’s Guide reported strong motion isolation on the earlier version after testing a double for over a month. The different findings concern different builds and test conditions, so they do not establish a single result for all couples.
Edge support
Expert Reviews found decent edge support on the current model, while Tom’s Guide rated the earlier version’s edges as average. REM-Fit markets reinforced edges, but the independent findings suggest that edge performance should be judged on the refreshed mattress rather than assumed from the product description alone.

What do the older reviews tell you?
Tom’s Guide tested a double of the 20cm model for over a month and reported strong motion isolation, warmer sleep than on an innerspring mattress, and average edge support. Ideal Home contributor Jennifer Oksien tested a king of an earlier 20cm version on a slatted base for two months; that review described open-cell memory foam, pocket springs and high-density support foam. The older Ideal Home review also recorded a then-advertised 200-night trial. Its test and offer do not confirm the current construction or terms. Tom’s Guide’s 2024 review and Ideal Home’s review offer that earlier-model context.
What are the current trial, guarantee and delivery terms?
When checked on 5 October 2026, REM-Fit’s UK product page listed a 100-night sleep trial, extended to 200 nights when a mattress protector is added, a 15-year guarantee, free delivery in 2–5 days and optional old-mattress removal at checkout. These are changeable purchase terms: check the live product page and checkout for the exact conditions, availability and any costs before ordering. The trial extension is tied to adding a protector; no particular protector has been assessed here.

Verdict: is the REM-Fit Pocket 1000 Hybrid a good mattress?
The refreshed Pocket 1000 Hybrid looks like a sensible option for shoppers after a medium-firm hybrid with memory foam, zoned support and pocket springs. The newest independent review is positive about its all-round appeal and edge support, but flags some movement and a possible mismatch for very hot sleepers. Choose it if those trade-offs fit your priorities; don’t rely on older reviews to predict the performance of the changed 25cm model.
Check the current price, size availability and terms directly before buying: the £450 double price cited by Expert Reviews was its reviewed price on 30 September 2026, not a guaranteed live price.
