But “plug and play” does not mean it works with every audio system without checking connections: Rega says to connect its RCA phono leads to an appropriate amplifier or phono stage.
What Rega means by “plug and play”
Rega describes the Replay as a turntable for people starting with vinyl and says it has removed “all the paranoia and confusion” of setup. The company says it can be set up and ready to use in under one minute. That is Rega’s stated setup claim, not an independently timed result.

The main simplification is that the cartridge is already fitted and aligned, and the RB110 tonearm does not require user arm balancing or bias adjustment. Rega says the tonearm’s bias is factory preset and non-adjustable. The included plug-and-play balance weight weighs 111 g.
What you need to connect before playing a record
The Replay uses RCA phono leads. Rega’s instructions are to connect the tonearm leads to an appropriate amplifier or phono stage. Check your amplifier’s inputs before buying: the product information does not establish that every amplifier accepts a turntable directly, nor does it say that every owner needs a separate phono stage. Whether you need one depends on the equipment you already have.

- Place the turntable on a stable surface and connect its RCA phono leads to an appropriate amplifier or phono stage.
- Push the supplied balance weight onto the rear of the RB110 tonearm. Rega says no user arm-balancing or bias adjustment is required.
- Remove the stylus guard, select a record, switch on, and cue the tonearm.
Rega describes the internal earth connection as running via the left channel of the RCA phono cable. The product page lists a Rega PS2 100 mA power supply.

Rega also describes the Replay as having a skeletal low-mass plinth, a brass main bearing, and a removable dustcover. Those are manufacturer design descriptions; the product information does not provide independent comparative measurements or performance results.
