A refurbished 64GB Wi‑Fi iPad (9th generation) was listed for $179.99 in a Cult of Mac Deals article published October 3, 2026. The same article listed a 256GB Wi‑Fi version for $334.99. Those are offer-page prices, not guaranteed current prices: the listing says prices may change and stock is limited. It describes both tablets as Grade-A and near-mint; that is the seller’s condition claim, not an independent inspection.

What you get with the iPad 9
Apple identifies the iPad (9th generation) as a 2021 model with an A13 Bionic chip, a 10.2-inch Retina display, and 64GB or 256GB storage options. Apple sold the model in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular configurations, but these specific offer listings are Wi-Fi only. The deal article presents streaming, email, video calls, reading, and browsing as intended uses; it does not report performance or battery testing.
Apple lists support for the first-generation Apple Pencil. The offer article does not say that a Pencil is included, so treat it as a separate accessory unless the seller confirms otherwise. See Apple’s iPad (9th generation) technical specifications.

How to assess whether it suits you
Choose storage for how you use a tablet
The listed 64GB and 256GB models differ substantially in storage and price. If you mainly stream content and use web-based services, 64GB may be adequate; downloaded video, large games, and a substantial offline photo or document library can use space quickly. The deal article does not give a storage-use estimate, so consider your own existing library and what you plan to keep on the device.
Check connectivity before ordering
The featured units are Wi-Fi only. They can connect through Wi-Fi networks, but should not be mistaken for cellular models with mobile-data service. Apple’s identification guide lists A2602 for Wi-Fi, A2604 for Wi-Fi + Cellular, A2603 for North American cellular, and A2605 for China mainland cellular; the deal article does not provide the inventory’s exact model number. If cellular connectivity matters, ask the seller to confirm the precise model before purchase. Apple’s iPad model identification guide also notes that the iPad 9 has Touch ID in the Home button.

Verify the refurbished unit’s protections and condition
- Ask for the battery condition or available battery-health information; none is stated in the deal article.
- Read the seller’s return and warranty terms before checkout; those terms are not established by the cited offer description.
- Confirm that the delivered unit is the listed storage and Wi-Fi configuration, and clarify what the Grade-A/near-mint rating covers.
- Check the final price and stock at checkout because the offer page warns that both can change.
Does “RAMageddon” explain the price?
No evidence in the cited offer or Apple specifications establishes that memory pricing caused this discount. “RAMageddon” is promotional wording in the deal headline, not a documented explanation of the iPad’s price.
