How the differences affect a buying decision
Chipset and memory
The phones use different processor families: Dimensity 8500 Ultra in the Turbo 5 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the Note 15 SE. The listed specifications distinguish their hardware, but do not establish a benchmark result, gaming frame rate, thermal behavior or everyday speed advantage. The Turbo 5 also lists LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage, while the Note SE lists LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2. Consider these alongside the exact RAM and storage variant rather than treating a chipset name alone as a real-world test.
Display size and resolution
The Note SE has the larger listed diagonal at 6.77 inches and a curved AMOLED panel. The Turbo 5 is listed with a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Both list refresh rates up to 120Hz. Choose the Note SE if screen size is the priority; the Turbo 5’s page specifies a higher 1.5K resolution, while the published figures alone do not establish which display looks better in use.

Battery and charging
Xiaomi lists a 7540mAh battery and 100W charging for the Turbo 5, compared with 5800mAh and 45W for the Note SE. The Turbo 5 also lists 27W wired reverse charging. Those capacity and wattage figures do not by themselves prove longer real-world battery life or a specific charging time; usage, settings and charging conditions matter.
Cameras
The Turbo 5 lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS/EIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Note SE lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. The extra ultra-wide lens gives the Turbo 5 a different listed shooting option, but megapixel counts and camera configuration are not a substitute for side-by-side photo testing.

Expandable storage and SIM trade-off
The Note SE supports listed storage expansion up to 1TB, with card compatibility potentially varying. Xiaomi specifies a hybrid SIM/microSD slot, so using a microSD card may affect the ability to use two SIMs at the same time. The Turbo 5’s listed storage options are 256GB, with no expandable-storage option stated on the cited listing.

Xiaomi states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for both India models. The precise wording is not identical, so check the product page for the regional variant you intend to buy. The durability ratings are also manufacturer-listed claims, not proof of protection in every accident or environment. Xiaomi specifically cautions that the Note SE’s lab rating does not represent normal use and excludes liquid damage outside test conditions.

Price difference: check the same variant and seller
Xiaomi India’s store listed the REDMI Turbo 5 starting at ₹41,999. A 91mobiles comparison page showed ₹41,999 for the Turbo 5 and ₹24,890 for the Note 15 SE 5G, a displayed difference of ₹17,109. These are snapshot listings, not a guaranteed current price gap; the Note SE figure is from a third party, not an official Xiaomi price quote. Prices can change with seller, stock, offers and configuration. Check Xiaomi’s India store and the 91mobiles comparison for current listings, then compare the same date and memory/storage tier before deciding. - Choose the REDMI Note 15 SE 5G if you want the larger screen, microSD expansion, or it is meaningfully cheaper for the storage tier and seller you are comparing.
- Compare before paying if your decision depends on camera quality, battery endurance, gaming performance or durability: the listed specifications do not provide an independent side-by-side test for those outcomes.
