How long does the Redmi Note 17 Pro battery last?
There is no single runtime that applies to every Redmi Note 17 Pro owner. The strongest independent figure in the available testing is Notebookcheck’s 29 hours and 9 minutes in a Wi-Fi web-browsing test using Chrome 151. Its review, dated October 2, 2026, identifies the tested phone as having an 8,340 mAh battery. Xiaomi Malaysia says “More than 2 days of battery life” for its 8,340 mAh model, based on Xiaomi Internal Labs’ simulated comprehensive scenario of moderate daily use. The scenario includes home-screen use, music playback, social media, email, maps, video streaming and standby. Xiaomi says results can vary with the test environment, software version, network conditions and individual usage. Check which regional battery specification applies
Before relying on a capacity figure, check the market and exact model of the phone or listing. Xiaomi’s global and Malaysia specifications state an 8,340 mAh typical-capacity silicon-carbon battery; Xiaomi India advertises a 9,000 mAh battery. The cited product pages do not explain the difference, so it should not be assumed that one figure applies worldwide.

Notebookcheck reported around 65 minutes to charge its reviewed phone using a Xiaomi 2500 power bank; that is a result from its test setup, not an official Xiaomi charger test or a guaranteed charging time. When comparing the Redmi Note 17 Pro with another phone, match the evidence rather than picking the largest headline number. Check the regional capacity and compare independent results only when the test protocol and conditions are comparable. Treat charging wattage separately from charging time, which also depends on the charger, cable, starting charge and test conditions. Finally, check whether the local retail package includes a compatible adapter.
