Choose Redmi for a bigger display
At 6.83 inches, the Redmi offers substantially more screen area than the vivo’s 6.31-inch panel. Both are AMOLED displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but the Redmi also lists a 2772 × 1280 resolution. It is the more natural fit if you prioritize a large viewing area for video, reading, or games.

Choose vivo for a smaller, lighter body
The X300 FE’s listed 191 g weight and 150.83 × 71.76 × 7.99 mm dimensions make it the more compact choice on paper. Xiaomi lists the Redmi at approximately 207 g and describes its body as taller and wider; exact dimensions and weight vary by color. If one-handed handling or pocketability matters more than screen size, vivo has the advantage.
How do the performance and storage tiers compare?
The vivo’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X Ultra memory, and UFS 4.1 storage are higher-tier specifications on paper than the Redmi’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. That makes the vivo the stronger-looking platform for demanding workloads, but specifications alone do not establish real-world speed, thermals, or battery efficiency. No independent comparative performance testing is available here.

vivo’s product overview displays an AnTuTu score of 3,161,598, labeled as vivo’s 2026 figure. It is a vendor claim, and there is no verified matching Redmi result or common test methodology to make it a direct comparison. Do not treat it as proof of how much faster the vivo will feel.

Redmi: high-resolution main camera
The Redmi lists a 200 MP optical image stabilization (OIS) main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide. Its headline strength is main-camera resolution, but megapixel count alone does not predict detail, low-light quality, color, or consistency.

vivo: a dedicated 3x telephoto camera
The X300 FE combines a 50 MP OIS main camera with a 50 MP OIS telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom, plus an 8 MP ultrawide. A dedicated telephoto camera provides a distinct optical-zoom option that the Redmi’s listed rear cameras do not. That can make vivo more versatile for distant subjects and tighter framing, although the specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
vivo says: “vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with X300 FE and need to be purchased separately.” It is an optional separately purchased accessory, not a camera feature included in the phone’s listed price. See vivo’s product information.

Battery and charging: what is listed?
Both India specification pages list a 6500 mAh typical battery. Xiaomi specifies 100 W wired charging and says a charger is included in the box; vivo lists 90 W wired FlashCharge. These manufacturer specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in use or charges faster under the same conditions.

What is the price difference in India?
A 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹39,999 for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and ₹94,999 for the vivo X300 FE, a displayed gap of ₹55,000. These are volatile listing figures, not a verified checkout quote or a sound like-for-like comparison: the memory configurations may differ, and listings or promotions can change.
Separately, vivo’s official India store displayed the X300 FE 12GB+256GB at ₹89,999, with promotional pricing shown against a higher MRP. That store listing is a different snapshot and configuration reference, not evidence of the price for every X300 FE variant.
