Smartprix showed ₹27,999 for realme and ₹31,999 for Redmi—a ₹4,000 difference on that date, not a guaranteed current price. The right choice depends on whether you value realme’s larger stated battery and faster refresh rate or Redmi’s higher resolution and optical image stabilization.
There is an important model-name catch: Xiaomi’s global page titled “Redmi Note 15 Pro” describes a 4G configuration, while its Philippines page documents a different Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. This comparison uses Xiaomi’s Philippines 5G specifications alongside realme’s India product positioning and Philippines specifications. Confirm the exact model, bands, warranty, and local price before buying.

Which display is better for your use?
Redmi has the stronger resolution specification: Xiaomi lists 2772 × 1280 on its Philippines 5G page. That is a 1.5K-class panel, so text and fine detail should appear sharper than on the HD+ 1570 × 720 display listed for the realme Philippines SKU, all else being equal.

realme’s counterpoint is refresh rate: its pages promote up to 144Hz, compared with Redmi’s up to 120Hz. A higher refresh ceiling can make supported scrolling and animation look smoother, but does not by itself establish better image quality, brightness, or overall display performance. The regional descriptions also need care: the realme India page promotes 6.8 inches and 144Hz, while its Philippines specifications give the HD+ resolution. Check the exact regional model rather than assuming all versions share every panel detail.
Camera hardware: Redmi adds OIS and an ultrawide
On the listed hardware, Redmi is the more flexible camera setup. Its Philippines specifications name a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8MP ultrawide. OIS can help compensate for small hand movements, particularly in still photos or video, but the megapixel count and stabilization feature do not prove that it takes better pictures in every situation.

The realme Philippines page lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome rear camera. Neither the resolution figures nor the component lists amount to a matched camera test: the available sources do not establish comparative image quality, low-light performance, or video results. Choose Redmi if OIS and an ultrawide are priorities; do not treat the 200MP label as a guaranteed quality score.

realme lists an 8,000mAh typical battery for the 16T 5G, compared with Xiaomi Philippines’ 6,580mAh typical figure for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. Both cited product pages list 45W charging. The larger stated capacity gives realme the advantage on battery size, but capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer in real-world use; screen settings, signal, workload, and software all matter.

realme also advertises a seven-year battery-health estimate based on lab data, once-daily charging, and normal-temperature conditions. That is a manufacturer claim under stated assumptions, not an independently established lifespan guarantee. Its three-day battery claim uses a light-usage model, and realme says actual results vary with use and environment. realme product specifications and claim qualifications
Price difference: the dated India listing
Smartprix listed the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G at ₹31,999 and the realme 16T 5G at ₹27,999 on September 15, 2026. In that snapshot, realme was ₹4,000 cheaper. Treat the comparison as a dated third-party listing, not a current quote or official price; the source does not establish that the listings have identical storage, seller terms, or warranty.

Before paying, compare offers in your country for the same storage configuration. Confirm seller, warranty coverage, network compatibility, and the model designation as well as the headline price. Prices from other countries should not be blended into this India comparison: for example, TechRadar’s May 21, 2026 review listed UK prices of £349 for 8GB+256GB and £399 for 12GB+512GB, and an Australia price of AU$699 for 8GB+256GB. Those are separate market and review-period figures. TechRadar Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G review

The name “Redmi Note 15 Pro” is not enough to identify the device. Xiaomi’s global product page describes a 4G version with a Helio G200-Ultra, a 6.77-inch 2392 × 1080 display and a 6,500mAh typical battery. Those specifications are not interchangeable with the Philippines Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, which Xiaomi lists with a Dimensity 7400-Ultra, a 6.83-inch 2772 × 1280 display and a 6,580mAh typical battery. Xiaomi cautions that connectivity and network bands may vary by region and local operator support. realme likewise says product specifications and descriptions can change, including because of supplier changes. Check the seller’s exact SKU against the manufacturer’s page for your market; do not rely on a shared model name alone. Xiaomi regional product information realme specification note
Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G if
- You want the higher-resolution display listed for Xiaomi’s Philippines 5G model.
- You value a 200MP OIS main camera and a dedicated ultrawide camera.
- You are willing to pay the higher price shown in the dated Smartprix snapshot for those hardware differences.
Choose the realme 16T 5G if
- You prioritize the larger stated 8,000mAh typical battery.
- You prefer a display with a listed 144Hz refresh rate and are comfortable checking the resolution of the specific regional SKU.
- The current same-market offer remains meaningfully cheaper after checking storage, warranty, seller, and network support.
There is no matched independent hands-on comparison here that establishes an overall tested winner. TechRadar’s Redmi review praised its display and performance, criticized software clutter, and noted no wireless charging, but those are review-period observations about Redmi alone—not a direct test against the realme 16T.
