OPPO said sales would begin on 23 April 2026 through offline stores, its E-Store, Flipkart and Amazon. Its launch release also mentioned card cashback and exchange benefits, but their eligibility and availability now are not established. Specifications are from Xiaomi India, OPPO India’s F33 Pro specifications and OPPO’s launch announcement. Display brightness figures are the manufacturers’ stated measures: peak brightness and HBM are not necessarily measured on the same basis, so they do not establish which screen looks brighter in comparable use.

Display: bigger Redmi screen or flatter OPPO design?
The Redmi has the larger listed screen at 6.83 inches and a quad-curved design. OPPO’s 6.57-inch screen is flat and has a stated FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates of 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz. Both list a 120Hz maximum refresh rate; the more useful distinction is the size and form you prefer.
Xiaomi lists 3200 nits peak brightness, while OPPO lists 1400 nits HBM. Because those are different manufacturer-stated brightness measures, the figures alone are not a like-for-like brightness test.

Cameras: rear resolution versus wide group selfies
Rear cameras
Xiaomi lists a 200MP main rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), alongside an 8MP ultra-wide. OPPO lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome/depth camera. The Redmi therefore has the higher listed main-camera resolution and an ultra-wide rear camera on paper. Megapixels and camera specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos; that requires comparable image samples, including in low light.
Front cameras
The OPPO’s most distinctive camera specification is its 50MP autofocus front camera with a 100° field of view. OPPO’s launch material describes automatic widening for group selfies. Xiaomi lists a 32MP front camera. The F33 Pro’s wider stated field of view and autofocus make it the more explicitly group-selfie-oriented setup on paper, but resolution and field of view are not standalone measures of image quality.

Performance: two different chips, no verified head-to-head result
The Redmi lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4; the OPPO lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 MAX. Those model names identify different processors, but the available specifications do not establish comparative benchmark scores or sustained-load performance. A gaming or speed winner cannot be called from these chip names alone.

Xiaomi specifies a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery and up to 100W HyperCharge. OPPO specifies 7000mAh typical capacity and 6830mAh rated capacity, with support for up to 80W SUPERVOOC. OPPO’s typical-capacity figure is higher; Xiaomi’s maximum stated wired charging rate is higher.

Neither capacity nor maximum charging wattage establishes screen-on time or charging time under matching conditions. OPPO’s 15 April 2026 launch release says its F33 Series battery is rated for 1,800 cycles and that charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately 69 minutes. This is OPPO’s own stated claim, not an independent comparison with the Redmi. OPPO India launch release
Water resistance: understand the ratings and their limits
Xiaomi advertises IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for the Redmi. OPPO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69K for the F33 Pro and publishes specific test notes. For example, OPPO describes IP68 testing at 1.5 metres for 30 minutes and IP69K tests under ISO 20653:2023 conditions. These are manufacturer-described ratings and test conditions, not a promise that either device is waterproof in every situation.
OPPO says protection can diminish with wear and warns that liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Review the exact product documentation and warranty terms before treating either phone’s rating as protection against a particular exposure. OPPO F33 Pro product information and conditions
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi on specifications if you prioritise the larger 6.83-inch display, a 200MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera, or the higher listed maximum charging rate.
- Choose the OPPO on specifications if a 100° autofocus selfie camera for group shots or its higher stated typical battery capacity matters more to you.
- Compare before deciding if performance, actual camera quality, battery endurance or charging time is decisive. The published specifications here do not provide comparable independent tests for those outcomes.
For price, compare live India listings at the same RAM and storage capacity. OPPO’s figures above are its April 2026 launch prices; a current, configuration-matched Xiaomi price is not established by the cited Xiaomi product information.
