Which specification differences matter?
Display: higher refresh rate on Motorola, slightly higher pixel dimensions on Xiaomi
Motorola lists a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, compared with Xiaomi’s up-to-120Hz display. Xiaomi’s published resolution is 2772 × 1280, while Motorola’s is 2772 × 1272. Both are large AMOLED panels. These figures alone do not establish which screen looks better in use, and a higher refresh rate does not by itself establish longer or shorter battery life.
Processor: verify the Motorola model sold in your market
Xiaomi’s global specifications identify the Dimensity 7400-Ultra, with a listed maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz. Motorola’s sources disagree: the company’s announcement and Spain page identify the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while its India support page identifies the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Check the manufacturer’s listing for your country and the precise model number rather than relying on a generic product name or a retailer’s copied specification.

Cameras: resolution is not a photo-quality verdict
Xiaomi specifies a 200MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. Motorola advertises a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide camera that also supports macro photography. Xiaomi lists 4K/30 video; Motorola India lists 4K UHD/30, and Motorola’s launch announcement says the 32MP front camera records 4K. Megapixel counts and hardware lists do not establish which phone produces better photos or video; the cited material does not provide a controlled, direct camera comparison.
Battery: the Motorola capacity is market-dependent
Xiaomi’s global page gives a typical 6580mAh battery and 45W wired charging. Motorola’s India support page lists 7000mAh, while its launch materials state 5200mAh; a review also notes that some regional versions use 5200mAh. Both Motorola figures are paired with 68W charging in the cited materials. Battery capacity and charging wattage are specifications, not measured endurance or charging-time results. Confirm the exact variant before comparing battery capacity.

Water and dust protection: ratings have limits
Xiaomi lists IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K, but says its ratings reflect laboratory conditions and cautions users not to test the phone themselves; water resistance may decline through wear or damage. Motorola’s announcement lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certification. These manufacturer claims do not make either handset indestructible or remove the need to check local warranty terms.

- Identify the exact model. Make sure the Xiaomi listing is for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G; the non-5G Redmi Note 15 Pro is a different product, and the figures above should not be applied to it.
- Check the local Motorola specifications. Confirm the processor, battery capacity, RAM and storage on the manufacturer’s page for the country where the handset is sold, because the cited regional sources differ.
- Compare like with like on price. Match country, currency, storage tier, retailer and date. Treat the prices above as launch-price reports rather than current quotes.
- Verify network and purchase support. Check the local 4G/5G bands, SIM support, warranty and whether the listing is an import. Xiaomi warns that bands and some functions depend on region and operator; Motorola says the Edge 70 Fusion is available in select countries across Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
