For buyers in India, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G has the stronger published specifications for battery capacity, charging, display resolution and refresh rate, and chipset tier. The Redmi Note 15 5G is lighter and thinner, lists a higher-megapixel main camera plus an ultra-wide camera, and appears at a lower price in cited Amazon snapshots. Those spec-sheet advantages do not establish which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in real use.
Specs comparison: Redmi Note 15 5G vs OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G
The published specifications point to different strengths. Redmi prioritizes a slimmer, lighter design and a more flexible listed rear-camera setup; OnePlus leads on battery capacity, charging wattage, display resolution and refresh rate, and the stated chipset model.

Specifications are manufacturer or comparison-site listings, not results from a controlled test. A phone’s actual performance, battery endurance, and image quality cannot be settled from these figures alone.

Which phone has the better battery?
On capacity and charging specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G leads: OnePlus lists an 8,000 mAh battery and 80 W charging, compared with Xiaomi’s 5,520 mAh and 45 W for the Redmi Note 15 5G. That is a substantial paper advantage, but capacity and charging wattage are not a measured battery-life comparison. Screen settings, signal strength, apps, and other usage conditions affect runtime, and the cited specifications do not establish a head-to-head endurance result.

The Nord CE 6 5G is specified at 1.5K resolution and 144 Hz, while Redmi’s listed resolution is 1080 × 2392 at 120 Hz. These figures favor OnePlus for pixel count and maximum refresh rate. OnePlus describes its screen as a “hyper-smooth 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display”; that is the manufacturer’s product-page wording, not an independent assessment. Whether the difference is noticeable depends on content and settings.

Rear and front cameras
Redmi lists a 108 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera; OnePlus lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera. Redmi offers the more clearly specified ultra-wide option on paper. A higher megapixel count does not prove that a camera produces better photos: sensor design, processing, lenses, and shooting conditions also matter.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFor selfies, the listed front-camera resolutions are 20 MP for Redmi and 32 MP for OnePlus. OnePlus advertises 4K recording on both the front and rear cameras. Treat that recording capability as a manufacturer claim; the cited specifications do not provide a controlled camera-quality comparison.

These are not a like-for-like, guaranteed checkout comparison: offer prices, storage configurations, sellers, and timing can differ. Check both phones at checkout on the day you buy, match storage tiers where possible, and verify seller and offer conditions before deciding which is cheaper. The cited listings do not establish one universal price gap.
Software support and water protection
Software updates
Xiaomi’s current India product page states four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi Note 15 5G. Comparison data lists Android 15 for Redmi and Android 16 for OnePlus, but the reviewed OnePlus product page does not establish an update-duration policy that can be compared directly with Xiaomi’s commitment. Version listings and promised support duration are different facts.
Ingress protection
Xiaomi’s India product page describes the Redmi as IP66, while third-party comparison tables show differing protection information. OnePlus advertises IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K for the Nord CE 6 5G. These are manufacturer-stated ratings; they should not be read as a guarantee of warranty coverage for liquid damage. Check the applicable warranty terms for the specific market and purchase.
Quick Recap
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G if your priorities are the larger stated battery, faster listed charging, a 1.5K 144 Hz display, or the higher-tier chipset model.
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if you want a lighter, thinner phone, value an explicitly listed ultra-wide rear camera, or find it cheaper at a current, comparable checkout price.
- Compare your exact variants before paying: storage and seller can change the price comparison, while the listed specifications do not substitute for independent battery or camera testing.
