Both list a 200MP main camera, but that shared headline number does not make them equivalent. Compare local prices at the same storage capacity, then decide whether Samsung’s telephoto hardware and longer stated support justify its higher tier for you.

The Redmi specifications below come from Xiaomi’s Sri Lanka product page, so configurations, charger bundle, connectivity and protection details may differ elsewhere. Samsung’s figures are from its global launch information and U.S. product listing; options and bundle contents can vary by market.

The processor names indicate different product tiers, but they do not by themselves establish how much faster one phone feels in a particular task. Likewise, battery capacity alone cannot establish which lasts longer in everyday use.

How much do they cost, and what is a fair comparison?
There is no universal current price for either phone across countries, retailers and storage configurations. For the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung announced a U.S. launch price of $1,299.99 on January 22, 2025. The Samsung U.S. product page accessed October 7, 2026, also displayed a starting price of $1,299.99 before trade-in. Those are U.S. figures, not global prices; promotions, taxes and street prices can change.

- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.

A third-party comparison listing showed ₹39,999 for a Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 12GB/512GB and ₹89,999 for a Galaxy S25 Ultra 12GB/512GB. Treat these only as that listing’s snapshot, not official prices or a current retailer quote. Confirm the country, seller, date and exact SKU before relying on them; they are not a like-for-like basis for a global price-gap claim.
To compare offers you can actually buy, match storage capacity and check the same country and date. Include local tax, trade-in conditions, warranty and whether a charger is in the box. A discounted listing or a different regional configuration can change the practical value substantially.

Which phone has the better display?
Samsung publishes the larger and higher-resolution panel: 6.9-inch QHD+ with an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The Redmi’s published screen is 6.67 inches, 2712 × 1220 and up to 120Hz. That gives the Galaxy more screen area and a higher stated resolution; it does not, by itself, prove which looks better to a particular viewer.
Choose based on how you use the screen. The Galaxy’s larger panel may suit readers, video viewers and people who prefer more room for apps. The Redmi still offers a high-refresh AMOLED display in a more compact stated size. Samsung’s 6.8-inch figure accounts for rounded corners, while its listed panel size is 6.9 inches.

Camera comparison: versatility matters more than the shared 200MP figure
Both phones list a 200MP optically stabilized main camera. Samsung also lists a 50MP ultrawide and two dedicated optical telephoto cameras: 10MP at 3x and 50MP at 5x. The Redmi’s cited configuration adds an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera, but no dedicated telephoto lens is listed.
The Galaxy therefore offers more published focal-length options and optical zoom hardware for framing distant subjects. The Redmi covers standard, ultrawide and macro use on its listed hardware. These specifications describe flexibility, not a controlled image-quality result: megapixel counts and lens lists alone cannot show which phone produces better photos in specific lighting or video conditions.

Battery capacity, charging speed and what comes in the box
Xiaomi lists a typical 5110mAh battery and 120W wired charging for the Sri Lanka Redmi model, and says the 120W charger is included. Samsung lists a typical 5000mAh battery for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and says it can reach up to 65% in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter and cable. The U.S. Samsung product listing says the charger is not included.

Those numbers do not establish longer battery life: endurance depends on factors such as display use, network conditions and workload. Charger inclusion is also regional, so check the exact local retail package rather than assuming the cited bundle applies everywhere.

Software support, durability and regional details
Samsung promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the Galaxy S25 series’ global launch. Xiaomi’s cited Sri Lanka specification page lists Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP68-rated protection for that regional model, but does not establish a comparable software-support duration. That absence is not proof that no support exists; it means the cited material does not provide a matching commitment.
Both manufacturers list IP68, but a shared rating label should not be treated as proof that their test conditions or warranty treatment are identical. Confirm the exact regional model, local warranty and supported network bands with the seller or carrier before buying, particularly for an imported handset.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G if local pricing is your priority and you value 120W wired charging, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a 200MP stabilized main camera without needing dedicated optical telephoto lenses.
- Choose the Galaxy S25 Ultra if you want the larger QHD+ display, dedicated 3x and 5x optical telephoto cameras, S Pen functionality, or Samsung’s stated seven-generation OS and seven-year security-update commitment.
- Pause and verify the listing if prices are from different countries, storage tiers do not match, the phone is imported, or charger and warranty terms are unclear.
Neither specification sheet establishes a real-world winner for speed, camera quality or battery endurance. If those are decisive, seek comparable independent tests for the exact regional models rather than inferring results from megapixels, processor names or battery capacity.
