That makes the Redmi’s advantage clearer for resolution and refresh-rate ceiling, while vivo’s stated HBM figure is higher. These manufacturer figures do not by themselves establish how readable either phone is in every lighting condition or how smoothly it performs in particular apps.
Battery capacity and charging are different trade-offs
Xiaomi lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 33W charging for the Redmi 15 5G, plus 18W reverse charging. vivo lists a 6500mAh battery and advertises 44W FlashCharge for the T5 Lite. Capacity describes the stated battery size; wattage describes charging power. Neither figure alone proves real-world battery life or charging time, which can depend on usage and test conditions.

Chipsets
The Redmi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, while the vivo uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. The chipset names alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads; the available information does not provide comparable controlled performance tests.

Cameras
Xiaomi lists a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. vivo’s cited product page establishes a 50MP main camera, but not enough matching camera detail for a complete specification comparison. Megapixel counts are not a reliable standalone measure of photo quality, and there are no comparable camera results here to declare a winner.
Dust and water resistance
The Redmi is listed as IP64 and vivo advertises IP65 for the T5 Lite. These are different protection ratings, and neither should be read as meaning the phone is waterproof. Follow each manufacturer’s care guidance rather than treating a rating as permission to submerge a device.

On October 7, 2026, Xiaomi India’s catalogue search result showed the Redmi 15 5G from ₹21,499 and marked it out of stock. A vivo Official E-Store India result showed ₹26,999 for the T5 Lite 44W 5G configuration with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. These are volatile listing snapshots for different configurations and do not establish a fair price difference between equivalent variants.
