Where are reservations open, and what does the offer include?
Gizmochina reported on October 6 that reservations were open through REDMAGIC’s official website and JD.com in China. Its report says JD.com customers can pay 100 yuan to access a promotional package REDMAGIC values at up to 4,300 yuan. Reported benefits include a Cooler 8 Pro, gaming benefits, cashback, and trade-in incentives. These are China-specific promotional terms as reported by Gizmochina, not a stated cash discount or a global offer. Gizmochina’s reservation report

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What is known about the phone’s specifications?
Chipset name remains unsettled in English
REDMAGIC’s official news index renders the processor name as “sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Supreme Edition.” Gizmochina uses “Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.” These are different English renderings in the available sources, so the final retail specification page will be needed to settle the official English name. Design claims and reported benchmark
REDMAGIC’s launch promotion describes the phone as lighter, thinner, narrower, and more rounded than its predecessor. Gizmochina reports a claimed bezel reduction from 1.25 mm on the previous generation to 0.96 mm, as well as the continuation of an under-display front camera. These are promotional claims reported by the outlet, not independent measurements.

Gizmochina also reports that a Geekbench 7 listing for Nubia NX819J showed 3,677 single-core and 12,679 multi-core. That is a result attributed to the listing by the report, not an independent test of the phone.
Battery and charging figures are unconfirmed
The same report mentions leaks claiming an 8,400 mAh battery, 120 W wired charging, and 80 W wireless charging, while noting that REDMAGIC had not confirmed them. Treat these figures as unverified, not as specifications to rely on when deciding whether to reserve.

What remains unknown for buyers outside China?
The available announcements and reporting concern the China launch and reservation promotion. They do not establish a global release date, international price, configurations, or availability. Anyone considering an import should wait for region-specific details on compatibility, seller, warranty, and return terms rather than assuming the China reservation applies elsewhere.
For a purchase decision, the useful comparison points will be the confirmed retail price and regional availability, independent sustained-performance and cooling tests, display, battery and charging specifications, software support, and warranty coverage. Several of those facts are not yet established for the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+.
