REDMAGIC has launched the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ in China, pairing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 with a 185Hz full-screen AMOLED display, an 8,400mAh battery and active liquid cooling. The phone is sold on REDMAGIC’s official page under the shorter “REDMAGIC 12 Pro” name, while launch coverage identifies the China model as the 12 Pro Plus. A global launch date and international pricing have not been confirmed.
What the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ is
The REDMAGIC 12 Pro family arrived in October 2026 as the company’s latest gaming-phone flagship. Notebookcheck’s 15 October 2026 report describes the China device as the REDMAGIC 12 Pro Plus (12 Pro+). REDMAGIC’s own product page uses “REDMAGIC 12 Pro” and promotes a November 3 launch event, so buyers should check the model name used in their market before ordering.

The phone is designed around sustained gaming performance rather than thinness or conventional camera-focused design. Its headline features are the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 system-on-chip, a separate REDMAGIC R5 gaming chipset, a 185Hz OLED panel, programmable shoulder controls and a high-capacity battery.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and R5 gaming chipset
REDMAGIC says the 12 Pro is among the first phones to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, paired with the REDMAGIC R5 Gaming Chipset. The company says the combination is intended to provide faster, more efficient, high-performance gaming. The supplied launch material does not include independent benchmark scores, clock-speed measurements or comparative tests, so the specification should not be treated as proof of a particular frame-rate advantage over another phone.

When will the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ launch globally?
A worldwide rollout was expected in launch coverage, but no confirmed global launch date, regional model name, international price or country-by-country availability was provided. REDMAGIC’s official page advertises a November 3 event; the available information does not establish whether that event is the start of global sales, a product presentation or a regional announcement.
Potential buyers outside China should verify the supported network bands, software region, charger standard, warranty coverage and return policy before importing a Chinese model. Those details can vary by market and are not established by the launch specifications.
How the phone compares on paper
The 12 Pro+’s strongest differentiators are its 185Hz panel, 5,000Hz touch-response claim, 8,400mAh battery, 25,500RPM active fan and integrated shoulder controls. A meaningful comparison with another gaming phone would also require sustained-performance testing, software-support information, camera evaluation, warranty terms and confirmed regional pricing. None of those comparative test results are supplied for this launch.
