A shopper who goes by KOYASHIFTERPRO says they installed FurMark on a display ASUS ProArt P16 laptop powered by NVIDIA’s RTX Spark in a French electronics store. At 1,920×1,080, the on-screen counter showed about 123 frames per second before staff nearly removed them. That number is an informal observation, not a completed benchmark score, so it cannot establish how the laptop performs in games or prove that RTX Spark is slower than a conventional mobile GPU.
What happened in the store
The incident involved a store-display unit rather than a privately owned review machine. In a Reddit post on r/GamingLaptops, KOYASHIFTERPRO wrote, “So i decided to download FURMARK on it LOL. (1920x1080p)” and later added, “I almost get kicked out of the store xD.” The user said they could not download anything else, including 3DMark Time Spy, before stopping.

VideoCardz reported the episode on October 15, 2026. The report describes the approximately 123 FPS figure as “not the final score value, just something that was shown at the screen during filming.” That distinction matters: FurMark was still running, and the visible counter was not a standardized result submitted under controlled conditions.

What hardware was tested?
VideoCardz identifies the laptop as the entry-level ASUS ProArt P16 configuration using an RTX Spark N1X processor. The listed specification includes 18 Grace CPU cores, a Blackwell GPU with 5,120 CUDA cores and 24GB of LPDDR5X unified memory. In this design, CPU and GPU share the same memory pool rather than using separately installed system RAM and video memory.

- Equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6 graphics card for excellent gaming visuals.
- Includes Up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM for smooth multitasking and gameplay.
- Features a spacious Up to 2TB Solid State Drive for quick data access and storage.
- Boasts a vibrant 15.6" FHD IPS Micro-Edge Anti-Glare 144Hz Display for immersive gaming experiences.
Higher RTX Spark configurations are described as having 20 CPU cores, 6,144 CUDA cores and larger unified-memory capacities. Those higher-tier specifications should not be used to interpret the store result: the roughly 123 FPS reading came from the 24GB entry model.
How significant is 123 FPS in FurMark?
FurMark is principally a GPU stress test. Its frame-rate counter can indicate how quickly a particular workload is being rendered, but it is not equivalent to a game benchmark and does not by itself measure sustained performance, frame-time consistency, power behavior or driver compatibility across a game library.
For context, VideoCardz cited FurMark database readings of 142 FPS for a GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop and 130 FPS for a desktop RTX 5050. The RTX Spark display reading is below both figures, but the comparison is directional only. The RTX Spark number was captured from the screen during an informal store session, while database entries may represent completed runs with different drivers, cooling, power limits and test settings.

| Item | Reported figure or condition | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| ASUS ProArt P16 RTX Spark N1X | About 123 FPS at 1,920×1,080 on-screen during filming | Informal display reading; not a final standardized score |
| GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop | 142 FPS in the cited FurMark database | Database comparison, not a matched test run |
| Desktop GeForce RTX 5050 | 130 FPS in the cited FurMark database | Different form factor and test conditions may apply |
Does this prove RTX Spark is slower than an RTX 5060 laptop?
No. The footage does not provide the controlled evidence needed for that conclusion. A valid comparison would run the same FurMark version and settings, with documented driver versions, power modes, temperatures, fan behavior and duration. It would also need repeatable results rather than a single counter observed while filming.
More importantly, buyers need game results. FurMark stresses the GPU differently from modern games, and a laptop’s performance can change substantially with firmware, cooling limits and whether it is plugged in. The 123 FPS reading therefore should be treated as an early performance clue, not a ranking of RTX Spark against the RTX 5060 Laptop.
What a proper RTX Spark evaluation still needs
Standardized synthetic tests
Completed runs of 3DMark Time Spy or another repeatable benchmark would make comparisons more meaningful. The test report should identify the exact N1X configuration, memory allocation, driver, operating-system build and power profile.

Real game testing
Reviewers should measure several games at a fixed resolution, recording average and one-percent-low frame rates. Results should be separated by native rendering, upscaling and ray tracing so that a single average does not hide major differences.

RTX Spark systems use an Arm-based Grace CPU alongside the Blackwell GPU. Software translation or incomplete game and anti-cheat support could affect results independently of raw GPU capability. Those issues were discussed speculatively by commenters; the store incident did not test or confirm them.
Power, thermals and battery behavior
A laptop comparison should report sustained clocks, temperatures, fan noise, charger requirements and performance after an extended run. A brief store demonstration cannot show whether the chassis maintains its initial speed or throttles when heat builds.

Availability and pricing context
ASUS opened preorders for RTX Spark versions of the ProArt P16 and P14 on October 7, 2026, with US availability scheduled for October 16. The cited report does not establish a final price for the exact 24GB P16 configuration, and regional pricing can differ. Prospective buyers should verify the specification and local price rather than assuming the entry model matches higher-memory versions.
Bottom line for readers
The store stunt is notable because it offers one of the first public glimpses of an RTX Spark laptop under load, but its evidentiary value is limited. An entry-level ProArt P16 showed roughly 123 FPS in a 1,920×1,080 FurMark session, and the operator nearly lost access to the demo machine. That result sits below comparison figures quoted from FurMark’s database, yet it is not a standardized score and cannot answer the gaming-performance question. Wait for controlled benchmarks covering games, drivers, thermals and Arm software compatibility before treating RTX Spark as faster or slower than an RTX 5060 Laptop.
