Display: Nord CE 6 is sharper; refresh rate is similar
Both phones are listed with a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, but the display experience is not otherwise equivalent. The Nord CE 6’s 1272 × 2772 AMOLED panel is substantially higher-resolution than the P4R’s 720 × 1570 LCD. That gives OnePlus the specification advantage for fine detail and AMOLED contrast. A 144Hz rating does not guarantee that every app, video or game runs at that rate; realme notes supported-scenario limitations. Brightness figures should not be directly compared without matching measurement methods.

Performance: the listed chipset favors OnePlus on paper
The P4R is specified with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300, while Smartprix identifies the Nord CE 6 chipset as Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That makes the OnePlus the stronger choice by listed processor tier, but a chipset name is not a substitute for independent testing. These sources do not establish comparative gaming frame rates, heat, sustained performance or everyday speed.
Battery and charging: same capacity, different charging rate
Both manufacturers list an 8000mAh battery. realme specifies 45W charging; OnePlus lists 80W SUPERVOOC, and Smartprix also lists 27W reverse charging for the Nord CE 6. On the published charging specifications, OnePlus offers the faster wired charging rate. Charging time and real-world battery endurance were not independently measured here. OnePlus’s product page claims “Play Non-Stop for 2.5+ Days”; treat that as a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed result, because usage affects battery life.

Cameras: OnePlus lists more features, but specs cannot settle image quality
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera. The OnePlus listing adds dual-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS), phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) and 4K recording. Its 32MP front camera and advertised 4K front video also exceed the P4R’s listed 8MP front camera; Smartprix lists 1080p/30fps video for the realme. Megapixels and feature lists do not prove which phone takes better photos or video in practice.
Durability: understand what the ratings do and do not promise
OnePlus lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, while realme lists IP65 and advertises MIL-STD-810H shock resistance plus a 1.8m drop claim. The published IP ratings favor OnePlus for dust and water protection, but an IP rating describes specified test conditions; it does not make a phone invulnerable to every liquid, impact or environment. realme’s drop and shock statements are manufacturer claims, not comparative independent results.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G if the specification advantages matter most
- You want a higher-resolution AMOLED display rather than an LCD.
- You value the higher-tier listed chipset, faster stated charging, OIS, 4K camera capability or broader IP ratings.
- You are willing to pay more if current prices preserve the gap shown in the dated comparison.
Consider the realme P4R 5G if the lower listed price is decisive
- You want the same headline 8000mAh capacity and 144Hz maximum refresh rate at a lower price in some cited listings.
- You are comfortable with its lower-resolution LCD, 45W charging and more limited listed camera features.
- You have checked the current price and verified that the specific 6GB/128GB variant is being compared.
Neither specification table establishes actual battery life, camera quality, long-term smoothness, gaming thermals or software-support duration. The sources list Android 16 with realme UI 7 and OxygenOS 16 respectively, but do not establish how long either phone will receive updates.
