Which screen is better?
Choose P3 for AMOLED
The P3’s AMOLED panel is the more substantial screen upgrade. realme lists a 120Hz refresh rate, 600-nit typical brightness and 2000-nit peak brightness. AMOLED technology is the clearest reason to favor the P3 if display quality is high on your list.

Choose P3x for a slightly larger display
The P3x measures 6.72 inches diagonally, compared with 6.67 inches on the P3. Its LCD-class FHD+ screen also supports up to 120Hz and is specified for 950-nit peak brightness. The larger diagonal does not make it the more premium panel, and peak-brightness figures alone are not a direct measure of everyday viewing quality.

Which phone is faster?
The P3 uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, while the P3x uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6400. realme lists the P3 chip as a 4nm octa-core processor up to 2.3GHz, and the P3x chip as a 6nm octa-core processor up to 2.5GHz. Those labels and clock speeds do not establish which phone performs better in real use; no independent benchmark or side-by-side test is available here. The P3 is the higher-positioned model by its display and storage specifications, but don’t treat that as proof of a particular gaming or multitasking advantage.
How much storage do the P3x and P3 offer?
The P3 is the only one of the pair with an India-listed 256GB storage configuration. Both models are listed with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and each has a dynamic RAM expansion figure: up to 18GB on the P3x and up to 8GB+10GB on the P3. Dynamic RAM uses storage as an extension; it is not the same as having that amount of physical RAM.

Are the cameras, battery and charging different?
Both India specification pages list a 50MP main rear camera and a secondary 2MP camera, described as portrait on the P3x and bokeh on the P3. Megapixel counts and camera labels do not demonstrate which phone takes better photos.
Battery specifications are closely matched: each has a 6000mAh typical capacity, a 5860mAh rated minimum, and 45W charging. realme lists a 45W charger for the P3x and says a 45W adapter is included with the P3. These figures do not predict actual battery life or charging time, which can vary with use and conditions.

realme’s marketing pages make water- and dust-resistance claims for both phones: the P3x page cites IP69/IP68 and military-grade shock-resistance testing, while the P3 page cites IP69/IP68/IP66 testing. These are manufacturer claims tied to testing, not guarantees that a phone is damage-proof. realme also cautions that resistance can diminish with wear. Do not deliberately submerge either phone; see the P3x product page and P3 product page for the stated qualifications.
What is the realme P3x vs P3 price difference?
A current, like-for-like price difference is not established. The realme India store page displays ₹13,999 for the P3x 6GB/128GB against an MRP of ₹16,999, but that same page marks the phone discontinued and unavailable; it is not a confirmed live offer. A third-party Gadgets 360 snapshot recorded ₹11,749 for the P3x on September 11, 2026, also with unavailable status. Another comparison result showed references of ₹12,999 for the P3x and ₹15,999 for the P3, but those figures do not establish current, equivalent offers.
