The realme P3 5G is a sound pick for a budget shopper who values a smooth 120 Hz AMOLED screen, quick everyday performance and a dust and water resistance rating. It is a weaker choice if stabilized video is a priority, if you want the cleanest software out of the box, or if you expect its large battery to clearly outlast phones in the same price band.
The independent reviews behind this assessment date from March 2025 and 2025, and the launch prices they quote are historical. Confirm the current price, variant and software terms before you buy.

Who should buy the realme P3 5G
Use your main priority to decide. The phone performs well on the things it is built around, and it has specific gaps that matter more to some buyers than others.
| Your main priority | Verdict |
|---|---|
| A bright, smooth screen and everyday speed | Good fit. The 120 Hz AMOLED panel and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip are the phone’s strongest points. |
| Dust and water resistance on a budget phone | Good fit, with the caveats on rating claims covered below. |
| Steady video from the main camera | Weak fit. The main camera has no optical image stabilization (OIS). |
| Clean, uncluttered software | Weak fit. Reviewers flagged pre-installed apps and promotional elements. |
| Long battery life confirmed by testing | Uncertain fit. A 6000 mAh battery did not produce standout results in one independent test. |
| Competitive pricing with the lowest sticker price | Depends on the day. Check the current price against rival phones before deciding. |
Official specifications compared with reviewer results

| Area | Official figure (realme) | Reviewer observation |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, 4 nm process, per the realme India product page | Smooth everyday use in the 91mobiles review. India Today Tech notes the standard P3 can feel strained when multitasking. |
| Display | 120 Hz AMOLED; 6.67-inch, 1080×2400 (FHD+) per the realme Global specifications; 2000 nits peak brightness as marketing claim on the India page | 91mobiles describes the display positively. Smartprix lists brightness as a drawback. |
| Battery | 6000 mAh. realme says battery and benchmark data come from realme Lab and results vary. | In 91mobiles’ test, battery fell 22% during a two-hour intensive test, which it described as fairly average for the capacity. It reported a PCMark score of 12.7 hours. |
| Charging | 45 W | 91mobiles recorded a 61-minute charge time in its test comparison. |
| Dust and water protection | IP69 claim. realme states water and dust resistance for normal usage conditions. | 91mobiles reports IP66, IP68 and IP69 markings. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main camera with EIS video stabilization; 2 MP bokeh camera; 4K 30 fps rear video (realme Global specifications) | Reviewers list the lack of OIS and weaker low-light performance as limitations. |
| Front camera | 16 MP (realme Global specifications) | Not stated in the reviews used for this assessment. |
| Box contents | Power adapter, protective case and screen film, per the realme Global specifications. Contents can differ by region and retailer. | Not stated in the reviews used for this assessment. |
Two points on the table need extra care. First, the IP69 figure is a manufacturer claim, and the qualification that it applies to normal usage conditions is part of realme’s own statement. Second, the reviews are one publication’s test method each, so none of their battery or camera results should be read as a forecast for every unit.
Pros
- Display. The 120 Hz AMOLED panel is the feature reviewers praise most, and it is the main reason to pick this phone over older budget rivals.
- Everyday speed. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 handles daily tasks smoothly in the 91mobiles review.
- Dust and water rating. The IP69 marking is unusual at this price, though it is a claim to read against the normal-use qualification above.
- Charging. The 45 W charging rate is fast for this class, and 91mobiles recorded a 61-minute charge in its test.
Cons
- No optical image stabilization. The main camera relies on EIS, which reviewers found less effective than OIS for steady footage.
- Pre-installed apps and promotional elements. 91mobiles says these need cleanup or settings changes after setup.
- Battery results are unremarkable. A large capacity alone did not guarantee a clear endurance advantage in the 91mobiles test.
- Low-light camera results. Review coverage raised caveats about night shots.
- Brightness. Smartprix lists brightness as a drawback, which sits awkwardly beside the 2000 nits marketing figure.
Performance, display and gaming
For day-to-day use, the phone’s combination of a high refresh rate and a capable chip is its real strength. Scrolling and app switching feel fluid, which is what most budget buyers notice first. The limit appears under heavier loads. India Today Tech found the standard P3 can feel strained during multitasking, and the Ultra model is the one it recommends for sustained demand.
On gaming, realme’s India page says the phone supports 90 FPS in BGMI, but with a qualification: “90 FPS support for BGMI will be available in a future game update from Krafton. Please check the game version for availability.” Until the update is live on your handset, treat 90 FPS as a promise, not a current feature.

Battery and charging
A 6000 mAh cell sounds generous, but capacity and endurance are not the same. In the 91mobiles two-hour intensive test, the battery fell 22%, and the reviewer described that result as fairly average for the capacity. Those numbers depend on that test’s workload and settings, so your own screen-on time will vary with brightness, network signal and how you use the phone.

- Android 15, Unisoc T7250 (12 nm), Octa-core (2x1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.6 GHz Cortex-A55)
- 50 MP, f/1.8, 27mm (wide), 1/2.88", 5 MP, f/2.2, 27mm (wide), 1/5.0"
The 45 W charging is the more dependable advantage. A fast charge helps if you forget to plug in overnight, and it matters more than headline capacity for a phone you use all day.
Cameras
The 50 MP main camera is the headline spec, but it is not a stabilized camera. Without OIS, handheld video and low-light shots are more exposed to hand movement. EIS helps with video, but it does not match the steadiness that OIS gives. Reviewers also recorded weaker low-light performance, so do not buy this phone expecting it to compete with stabilized models in dim conditions. If you mainly take daytime stills, the camera is adequate for the price.
Software and update support
The software is the phone’s most visible weakness. Pre-installed apps and promotional elements appear on first use, and reviewers said they need to be removed or switched off. 91mobiles’ comparison table lists two OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Those terms come from that review, and they should be checked against realme’s current India support policy before you treat them as a guarantee.
P3 5G or P3 Ultra, and what to compare it with
For most budget buyers, the standard P3 5G is the more sensible purchase. India Today Tech positioned the P3 Ultra above it on hardware, performance and cameras, but at a higher price in its March 2025 review context. Choose the Ultra only if the performance gap matters for your use and the extra cost fits your budget.

- Platform: Android 13, Realme UI 4.0 Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (4 nm)
91mobiles compared the P3 with the Redmi Note 14 5G and the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G. It found the P3 stronger on performance and durability, while the Nord CE4 Lite offered cleaner software. Those were 2025 assessments of models that have since been superseded or repriced, so use them as a framework rather than a current ranking.
Prices: what the reviews said, and what to check now
91mobiles quoted launch-era prices of ₹16,999 for the 6 GB + 128 GB variant and ₹18,999 for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant. These were review-period prices from 2025, not current offers.
To check the current price:
- Open the realme India product page and note the variants listed for sale.
- Compare the same variant across two or three major retailers, and check whether any listed offer is time-limited.
- Compare the price with the Redmi Note 14 5G and OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G, using their current prices rather than 2025 figures.
- Confirm the box contents and the seller’s warranty terms at checkout, since they can differ from the global package list.
Verdict
The realme P3 5G is a conditional recommendation. Buy it if you want a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, smooth everyday performance, an IP69-rated body and fast 45 W charging, and you are comfortable cleaning up the pre-installed software. Pass on it if you need stabilized video, a clean software experience, or proof of exceptional battery life. The phone earned 8/10 from 91mobiles in its own review and 8/10 from India Today Tech for the combined P3 and P3 Ultra review. Both scores came from 2025 testing, so the final decision should rest on the current price and the update terms you can confirm today.
