The official realme China specifications page is the source for the listed hardware. The manufacturer and independent publications use different labels for display brightness figures, so those numbers should not be read as directly comparable test results.

Display: QHD+ resolution and up to 144 Hz
The 6.79-inch flexible AMOLED panel has a listed resolution of 1440 × 3136 pixels and pixel density of 508 ppi. It supports 10-bit color, or up to 1.07 billion colors, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. realme also lists instantaneous touch sampling of up to 3,200 Hz; this is a peak specification, not a statement that touch sampling runs at that rate continuously.

realme lists 1,000 nits for typical maximum global default brightness, 2,000 nits for typical maximum global excitation brightness, and 7,000 nits as typical peak brightness. Notebookcheck reports 4,000 nits full-panel brightness, while GSMArena reports 2,000 nits high brightness and 4,000 nits peak. The sources do not establish measurement methods that would make these labels equivalent, so none should be treated as a single confirmed, directly comparable brightness result.

Chipset, RAM and storage configurations
The GT 8 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, with eight cores and a maximum listed frequency of 4.32 GHz. This is the GT 8, not the GT 8 Pro: launch coverage identifies the Pro as using the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform.
All listed configurations use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The official China page lists five combinations:

Triple rear-camera system
- Main: 50 MP Ricoh GR anti-glare camera, f/1.8, 7P lens, autofocus and two-axis optical image stabilization (OIS).
- Ultra-wide: 8 MP, f/2.2, 5P lens and 112-degree field of view.
- Telephoto: 50 MP, f/2.8, 4P lens, autofocus and two-axis OIS.
realme lists up to 3.5× optical zoom and 120× digital zoom for still photos. Those maximum zoom figures do not describe image quality at every zoom level.

Video and selfie camera
The rear cameras support recording up to 8K at 30 frames per second, 4K at 30, 60 or 120 fps, and 1080p at 30, 60 or 120 fps. The page also lists 720p recording at 30 or 60 fps. Stabilization and slow-motion modes vary by resolution and frame rate. The front camera is 16 MP with an f/2.4 aperture and 4P lens, and supports video up to 1080p at 60 fps.
Battery and charging
The battery is listed as 7,000 mAh typical capacity (27.44 Wh) and 6,830 mAh rated capacity (26.78 Wh). Wired charging is rated at 100 W Super Flash Charge. The China specification page also lists support for several lower-power charging modes, including 13.5 W PD. Notebookcheck’s launch report says wireless charging is unsupported.
These capacity and charging specifications do not establish real-world battery life or charging time; those depend on usage and conditions, and the cited material does not provide controlled endurance or charging tests.

Dimensions, build and colors
The phone measures about 161.80 mm high by 76.87 mm wide. Thickness and weight vary by color: White and Navy are listed at about 8.20 mm thick and 214 g, while Green is about 8.30 mm thick and 209 g.

SIM, cellular bands and wireless connectivity
The China listing specifies dual Nano-SIM support and lists 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G bands for that market. Because band support and device variants can differ by region, check the exact regional SKU against your carrier’s supported bands before buying; the China listing alone cannot confirm service on a particular network.

- Bluetooth: Bluetooth 6.0 and BLE Audio.

Ports, audio, biometrics and sensors
The GT 8 has a USB Type-C port. realme lists support for both USB-C digital and analog earphones, along with SBC, AAC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, LHDC 5.0 and LC3 audio codecs.
Biometric options are ultrasonic in-display fingerprint recognition and face recognition. Listed sensors include proximity, ambient light, color temperature, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope and an infrared remote sensor.
Software and package contents
realme’s China page lists realme UI 7.0; GSMArena identifies it as based on Android 16. The cited sources do not establish a software-update duration or a region-by-region update schedule.

China launch price and availability context
Notebookcheck’s October 21, 2025 launch report said the GT 8 went on sale in China at launch, with prices of CNY 2,899 for 12 GB/256 GB and CNY 4,099 for 16 GB/1 TB; the other listed configurations fell between those launch prices. These are historical China launch prices, not current prices or international pricing. Notebookcheck said international availability had not been announced at the time of its report. That dated statement does not establish the phone’s availability in 2026.
