On the Spain price snapshot checked October 1, 2026, the realme GT 8 Pro starts at €689, versus €953 for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra—a €264 gap in realme’s favor. The GT 8 Pro also lists a higher maximum refresh rate and explicit battery and charging figures; Samsung’s cited announcement specifies a slightly larger display and a Galaxy-customized version of the same named processor generation. Which is the better buy depends on local price, configuration, and the features you value—not on specifications alone.

Display: larger panel or higher maximum refresh rate?
Samsung lists a 6.9-inch display, compared with 6.79 inches for realme, so its panel is slightly larger by the published diagonal measurements. realme lists a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz; Samsung specifies an adaptive range of 1–120Hz. These figures describe different aspects of screen behavior: a higher maximum refresh rate does not by itself prove better overall image quality, and the listed numbers do not establish a universal display winner.
Performance: same chip family, no speed verdict
Both phones are specified with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 silicon, but Samsung identifies its version as “for Galaxy.” The shared platform name is not a benchmark: the available specifications do not show comparative speed, sustained performance, heat, or gaming results. Choose based on measured tests of the exact regional models if those are decisive for you.

Battery and cameras: what the available figures do—and do not—show
realme publishes a typical 7000mAh battery capacity, up to 120W wired charging, and up to 50W wireless charging. The cited Samsung announcement does not provide comparable battery or charging figures, so a direct capacity, endurance, or charging-speed comparison cannot be made from these sources. Capacity and maximum charging ratings also do not substitute for controlled battery-life or charging tests.

Its product announcement describes RICOH IMAGING collaboration and camera modes, but that launch-period messaging is not independent camera testing. The cited Samsung announcement does not establish the full S26 Ultra camera array here. Megapixel counts alone cannot settle camera quality; compare focal lengths, stabilization, video capabilities, and independent photo and video tests before choosing on cameras.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the realme GT 8 Pro if
- Your local offer remains meaningfully cheaper after matching storage, seller, warranty, and checkout costs.
- You value its published 144Hz maximum refresh rate or its explicitly stated battery capacity and charging ceilings.
- The exact regional model has the RAM, storage, network bands, and service coverage you need.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra if
- You prefer its slightly larger 6.9-inch display.
- You want the Galaxy-customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variant, while recognizing that the cited specifications do not prove a performance advantage.
- Its price, configuration, warranty, network compatibility, and support terms make more sense in your market.
For either model, confirm the exact regional configuration, network-band compatibility, software-support policy, seller reliability, and warranty before ordering. The cited sources do not establish a reliable comparative update-support duration or controlled performance, endurance, camera, or display results.
