How much more does the realme GT 8 Pro cost?
A 91mobiles India comparison listing showed the realme GT 8 Pro at ₹72,999 and marked it out of stock, while the OnePlus 15R was listed at ₹59,999 with Amazon attribution. The difference between those displayed prices is ₹13,000. This is a marketplace snapshot, not a guaranteed current price or a like-for-like quote for matched storage configurations. What the display and camera differences mean
Higher resolution or higher refresh rate?
The GT 8 Pro’s 2K panel prioritizes resolution, while the 15R’s 165Hz panel has the higher listed refresh rate. A higher resolution can make fine detail look sharper; a higher refresh rate can make supported motion and scrolling appear smoother. Neither specification alone establishes which screen looks better overall, and the difference that matters most depends on the content and use.

- Magnetic ring design supports magnetic car mounts and is compatible with MagSafe accessories.
- Premium-style high-quality synthetic leather offers a more comfortable feel. TPU + rigid PC construction: enhances durability and improves grip. Soft TPU bumpers facilitate easy installation and removal.
- Raised edges for added camera and screen protection.
- Precise charging cutouts fit volume buttons, side buttons, and device curves for easy access to all buttons, controls, and ports without removing the case.
Do you need a telephoto camera?
The GT 8 Pro lists a 200MP telephoto camera alongside wide and ultrawide cameras. The 15R’s listed rear setup has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, with no telephoto. That gives realme the more versatile listed hardware for photographing distant subjects. Megapixel counts and camera-system descriptions do not by themselves establish image quality.
Performance, battery and charging
Chipset names are not a head-to-head test
realme specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and OnePlus specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Those are different named chipset tiers, but the manufacturer pages do not provide a controlled comparison between the phones. The names alone do not quantify the difference in everyday speed, sustained performance or gaming.

Battery capacity and charging options
OnePlus lists a 7,400mAh battery; realme lists 7,000mAh typical capacity, with 6,850mAh rated capacity in its product-page footnote. The larger stated capacity gives the 15R an advantage on paper, but it does not establish longer runtime: workload, settings and conditions affect battery life.

Software support and evidence limits
TechRadar’s May 9, 2026 review reports four years of software updates and six years of security patches for the OnePlus 15R. The available product information here does not establish a directly comparable support commitment for the GT 8 Pro, so there is no basis for claiming that the two phones receive equal support.
This comparison is based on manufacturer-listed specifications and a third-party India price snapshot, not hands-on testing. OnePlus’s product page includes manufacturer promotional claims; those should not be read as independent performance findings.
