The realme GT 7T and the POCO X8 Power 5G make opposite trade-offs. On listed specs, the GT 7T offers a faster-charging, flagship-tier MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Max chip and an officially documented AMOLED screen. The POCO X8 Power 5G offers a much larger 10,000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip. In India, listed prices are close, but they vary by source. The gap runs from about ₹1,000 to nearly ₹8,000 depending on which listing you read.
One caveat applies to the whole comparison. realme publishes official specifications for the GT 7T. The POCO X8 Power’s figures below come from comparison sites (91mobiles, Gadgets360 and Smartprix), and I could not confirm them against an official POCO page.

Where each phone wins
Battery and weight: POCO X8 Power
10,000 mAh is about 43% more capacity than the GT 7T’s 7,000 mAh. 91mobiles reports PCMark battery-life results of 20 h 45 m for the POCO against 16 h 05 m for the GT 7T. That site does not state its test protocol in the page I reviewed. Treat the numbers as indicative, not as a guarantee of real-world use. The extra capacity costs about 27 g, as the POCO is listed at 229 g against roughly 202 g.

Processor and charging: realme GT 7T
The Dimensity 8400 Max is a higher-tier chip than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. For gaming and heavy multitasking, that points toward the GT 7T. The listings provide no controlled benchmark or sustained-load comparison, so the size of the gap is not established here. The GT 7T also charges faster on paper (120 W vs 100 W). The POCO’s larger cell means a full charge still takes longer in practice, though neither listing gives charge times.
Display and cameras: close to a tie
Both phones have roughly 6.8-inch, 120 Hz screens. realme lists 6,000 nits peak brightness for the GT 7T, but also 1,000 nits typical and 1,800 nits in high-brightness mode. The lower figures are closer to what you will see outdoors. Both are listed with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide. Matching megapixel counts say little about image quality, and no hands-on camera comparison is available.

Price difference in India
| Source | realme GT 7T | POCO X8 Power 5G | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles | ₹38,890 (Amazon listing) | ₹35,999 (Flipkart listing) | GT 7T about ₹2,891 higher |
| Smartprix (data marked updated September 15, 2026) | ₹30,998 | ₹35,999 | POCO about ₹5,001 higher |
The sources disagree on which phone is cheaper. The likely causes are different sellers, RAM and storage variants, and bank or coupon offers. The listings do not consistently show the same configurations. Compare identical RAM and storage on the same day, at the same seller, and include any bank discount you would actually qualify for.

Launch dates
Sources disagree on the GT 7T’s launch date. 91mobiles gives May 27, 2025 and Gadgets360 gives May 1, 2025, so treat the date as unconfirmed. The comparison sites place the POCO X8 Power’s release in September 2026, but I found no official POCO announcement. The official Xiaomi page I found covers the standard POCO X8, which is a different model, so don’t use it to judge the X8 Power.

Which should you buy?
- Choose the POCO X8 Power 5G if battery life matters most, you want newer Android 16 out of the box, and the matched-variant price is no higher than the GT 7T’s.
- Choose the realme GT 7T if you game or multitask heavily, want the faster chip and 120 W charging, and prefer a lighter phone with officially documented specs.
- Let price decide if the two are within a couple of thousand rupees. If the GT 7T is available near the lower Smartprix figure, it is the stronger value. At ₹38,890, the POCO’s battery advantage is the more persuasive argument.
Before buying, confirm the POCO’s battery, charging and chipset on its official product page once one is published. Until then, those figures rest on third-party listings.
