The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is positioned as a midrange phone with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 5000 mAh typical battery, and 25 W charging, but it offers microSD expansion and a more explicit software-support commitment. Every figure below comes from manufacturer pages, not independent testing.
The price difference cannot be stated as a single reliable number as of October 2026. Samsung’s India launch prices for the A27 5G are known, but the evidence available does not establish a current realme GT 7 India price, and the two phones’ launch dates and storage tiers do not line up neatly.

Specification comparison
The table uses realme’s Singapore specification page for the GT 7 unless another source is named, and Samsung’s global specification table for the A27 5G. Regional configurations differ, so the memory and storage row should be read with that in mind.

Processor and performance
The GT 7 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e, while the A27 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Both are built on a 4 nm process according to their respective specification pages, but the platforms are designed for different price points, so the chip name alone says little about how the phones feel in daily use.

The available evidence supports saying the GT 7 is positioned higher on paper. It does not support a measured speed margin, sustained-performance comparison, or gaming result, because no independent benchmark or thermal test has been published for both phones in the sources reviewed here.
Display
Both phones advertise up to 120 Hz refresh. The GT 7 has a larger 6.78-inch panel at 2780×1264 resolution, while the A27 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display.
The GT 7 figure that needs careful reading is the 6000-nit brightness claim. realme’s India product page describes it as a local peak brightness measured under 100,000 lux in realme’s laboratory conditions. A peak figure measured this way is not the same as sustained brightness outdoors, so it should not be compared directly with any typical brightness rating.

Cameras
The GT 7 lists three rear cameras, including a 50 MP 2× camera, which the A27 5G does not list. Samsung specifies optical image stabilization on the A27’s 50 MP main camera, and realme’s page does not state the equivalent for the GT 7 in the sources reviewed.

Megapixel counts and lens lists describe the hardware only. They do not tell you how either phone handles low light, colour, or video stabilization. Those outcomes need hands-on review, which is not yet available for these two models.
Battery and charging
The GT 7’s 7000 mAh typical capacity and 120 W rated charging are the largest specification gaps in this comparison. The A27 5G’s 5000 mAh battery and 25 W charging are conventional for its class.
These numbers measure capacity and rated power, not endurance or charging time. Real battery life depends on the screen, network, and workload, and the time to a full charge depends on the charger, cable, and battery temperature. Neither manufacturer’s page in the sources reviewed gives a measured endurance or full-charge result for these models.

Samsung makes the more explicit support commitment. Its Global Newsroom announcement dated June 25, 2026 states:

“Galaxy A27 5G reinforces Samsung’s commitment to long-term support with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as up to six years of security updates from the initial global launch date, giving users confidence that they will be able to use their device for longer.”
Samsung India’s product page gives July 31, 2032 as the security-update end date for the India model. The GT 7’s Singapore page lists realme UI 6.0 on Android 15 but does not state an update-duration promise, so a like-for-like support comparison is not possible from these sources.
Storage is the other practical difference. The A27 5G supports microSD cards up to 2 TB according to Samsung’s global specification table. The GT 7’s cited page does not list expandable storage, so buyers who need removable storage should check the specific regional listing before buying.

Samsung’s announcement also advertises a possible INR 3,000 cashback on eligible payment methods. Eligibility and offer terms vary, so this is not included in the prices above.
Why the GT 7 difference is not established
realme’s India product page describes the GT 7 but did not show a current selling price in the sources reviewed. Because the A27 prices are dated launch figures, and the GT 7 price is unknown, neither a precise rupee gap nor a percentage difference can be stated. To compare fairly, check the current GT 7 price for the same RAM and storage configuration as the A27 variant you are considering, and check the current A27 price from a seller at the same time.
Which one to choose
- Choose the realme GT 7 if the listed processor tier, 120 W charging and 7000 mAh battery matter most, and if its local price for the configuration you want is clearly lower than the A27 equivalent or the performance gap justifies the premium.
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G if you need microSD expansion, want the most explicit long-term update commitment, or prefer a Samsung-supported software policy with a published end date.
- Decide on price last. Confirm the current local price for matching storage on both phones before choosing. A small difference in price may favour one phone, but a large difference in capacity or charging speed may matter more.
This verdict rests on manufacturer specifications and the pricing and support statements quoted above.
