For buyers in India, the main difference is straightforward: the realme C83 5G supports 5G, while the realme P4 Lite is a 4G phone. The C83 also lists a faster 144Hz display and a larger 7000mAh typical battery; the P4 Lite lists a 90Hz display and a 6300mAh typical battery. In official India listings captured on October 4, 2026, the C83 5G 4GB+64GB was ₹19,999 and the P4 Lite sale listing was ₹16,499—but those prices are not a like-for-like comparison.

Does the realme P4 Lite support 5G?
No. The India-market realme P4 Lite specifications list 4G LTE and older network support, not 5G. The C83 5G is the choice between these two if 5G is essential. Check that the C83’s supported bands match your carrier and that 5G service is deployed where you use the phone; realme says actual network and band use depends on the operator.

Do not confuse the P4 Lite with the separate P4 Lite 5G. Similar names do not make their network support or specifications interchangeable.
Display: the C83 has the higher listed refresh rate
Realme lists the C83 5G with a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. The P4 Lite has a slightly smaller 6.74-inch HD+ screen and a maximum 90Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported scrolling and animations appear smoother, but it does not mean every app or task runs at that rate.
The official pages label brightness differently: the C83 lists 700 nits typical and 900 nits HBM, while the P4 Lite lists 563 nits peak. Because those are not the same measurement labels, they do not establish a direct brightness winner.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBattery and charging: capacity favors the C83, wattage does not
The C83 is listed with a 7000mAh typical battery, compared with the P4 Lite’s 6300mAh typical capacity and 6235mAh minimum. That gives the C83 the larger stated capacity, not a guaranteed longer runtime: actual endurance depends on usage and conditions, and these figures are not comparative battery-test results.
Both phones list 15W charging. The P4 Lite specification identifies its charging as 15W VOOC; the C83 page lists maximum 15W charging. The C83’s larger battery therefore does not come with a higher listed charging wattage in these specifications.
Performance, cameras and software
Processor and everyday use
The C83 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 made on a 6nm process; the P4 Lite uses a UNISOC T7250 made on a 12nm process and listed up to 1.8GHz. Those specifications identify different chipsets, but without comparable independent testing they do not prove how much faster either phone will feel in a particular app or workload.

Cameras
Both India specification pages list a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Matching resolution counts do not establish matching photo quality; sensor, lens, processing and shooting conditions also matter.
RAM, storage and Android versions
The C83 offers listed configurations of 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage. The P4 Lite page lists 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage. Check the exact configuration on sale before comparing value, especially if you need more than 4GB RAM.
Realme’s pages show the C83 running realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and the P4 Lite running realme UI based on Android 15. These listed software bases do not, by themselves, establish how long either phone will receive updates; no update-duration commitment is stated in the specifications cited here.

On October 4, 2026, the realme Store India listing showed the C83 5G in Blooming Purple with 4GB+64GB at ₹19,999, against a displayed MRP of ₹24,999. Realme’s India Days Sale page showed the P4 Lite at ₹16,499, without stating a storage configuration in that listing. The arithmetic difference between those displayed prices is ₹3,500.
This is not a like-for-like price gap: the C83 figure specifies 4GB+64GB, while the P4 Lite sale listing does not identify its configuration. The sale price and stock can change, so verify the current offer and exact storage before buying. Sources: realme Store India C83 listing and realme India Days Sale page.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the C83 5G if you need 5G, want the higher listed refresh-rate ceiling, prefer the larger stated battery capacity, or want the option of 6GB RAM. Confirm carrier-band compatibility and compare the price of the exact storage configuration you intend to buy.
- Choose the P4 Lite if 4G is sufficient and its current price for the configuration you want makes better sense for your budget. It still offers a 90Hz display, 6300mAh typical battery and 15W VOOC charging.
- Compare accessories before purchasing extras. Realme lists a charger and case in each phone’s box; the P4 Lite box list also includes a screen film. The C83 has a 3.5mm headphone jack if you use wired headphones.
Realme’s P4 Lite product page also promotes IP54 resistance, durability testing and battery-use claims. Treat these as manufacturer claims, not independent verification.
