1. The 7,000mAh battery is the phone’s strongest advantage
Realme rates the 16x’s battery at 7,000mAh, paired with 45W charging. In Gadgets 360’s testing, the phone lasted nearly two days with mixed use. It also ran for 28 hours and 57 minutes in the PCMark Work 3.1 battery test, falling from 100% to 19%. That is one publication’s controlled result, not a promise of identical runtime: mobile signal strength, brightness, refresh-rate settings, gaming, camera use and background apps can all move the result substantially.

The practical benefit is less anxiety during travel, long workdays and heavy navigation or video sessions. The panel’s 720×1570 resolution is HD+ on a screen measuring 6.8 inches diagonally. Icons remain usable and video is watchable, yet fine text, photographs and high-resolution streaming content will not look as crisp as they do on a sharper Full HD+ display. The 144Hz mode improves motion; it cannot create missing pixels.
When comparing another phone, check both numbers together. A rival with a lower refresh rate but Full HD+ resolution may produce cleaner text and more detailed video, while the realme 16x will generally feel more fluid during fast scrolling. Decide which difference you notice more in your own usage.

3. Everyday performance is adequate, with reasonable heat control
The Dimensity 6300 handles common tasks such as messaging, web browsing, video streaming, navigation and routine multitasking. Independent testing found it suitable for casual gaming, and Gadgets 360 reported good heat management during its evaluation. This makes the 16x a sensible fit for a buyer who values consistency in ordinary use more than benchmark-leading speed.
There is a clear ceiling. Gadgets 360 observed frame drops in a more demanding game at default settings. Realme’s stable-frame-rate claims apply only to variants with 6GB of RAM or more, so do not generalize those figures to the 4GB model. If you regularly play graphics-intensive titles, expect to reduce quality or frame-rate settings and consider a faster chipset instead.

The 4GB version can still cover calls, messaging, browsing and streaming, but heavier multitasking leaves less memory headroom. If you keep navigation, music, social media and work apps open together, the 6GB tier is the safer choice. More RAM will not turn the Dimensity 6300 into a flagship gaming chip, but it can make everyday app switching less restrictive.

That limitation matters if you frequently photograph architecture, travel scenes, large groups or distant subjects. You will need to move physically to change framing, and cropping a normal photo is not equivalent to having a second focal length. Check the exact RAM/storage tier in the cart before comparing the realme 16x with another phone; a lower sticker price may represent the 4GB model while a competing phone’s price may include 6GB or more.

Realme says the light-sensor opening is hidden at the top of the screen to make the phone’s front more compact. The company warns that a dark or poorly transmitting protector can block that sensor opening.
