There is no universal value winner without checking today’s like-for-like prices. At similar prices, the vivo T5 Pro 5G has the stronger cited spec sheet for display sharpness, processor and charging. The realme 16T 5G may be the better buy if it costs materially less and you do not need the Vivo’s higher-resolution AMOLED display or stronger listed chipset.
The prices and specifications below are for the India market. Launch prices and retailer snapshots are not a substitute for comparing the same RAM and storage configuration at checkout.

Compare the same configuration before deciding
Start with the RAM and storage you intend to buy, then compare the current checkout prices from the same date and market. The launch prices reported by 91mobiles on 25 May 2026 show why configuration matters: the entry Realme variant had 6GB RAM, while Vivo’s entry variant had 8GB.
| Phone and configuration | Reported launch price in India |
|---|---|
| realme 16T 5G, 6GB+128GB | ₹29,999 |
| realme 16T 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹31,999 |
| realme 16T 5G, 8GB+256GB | ₹34,999 |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹29,999 |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+256GB | ₹33,999 |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 12GB+256GB | ₹39,999 |
These are launch prices, not current offers. Later third-party comparison-page snapshots showed Amazon India indications of ₹27,999 for the Realme and ₹37,180 for the Vivo, but those figures were captured at different times and are not a matched checkout comparison. The vivo India store displayed ₹41,999 for a selected T5 Pro 8GB+128GB variant when accessed on 7 October 2026; that is a volatile store-page snapshot, not a guaranteed prevailing price. Check stock, seller, bank offers, and the exact configuration before treating any displayed figure as your purchase price. 91mobiles’ comparison listing and the vivo India product page are the cited price references.

Vivo has the sharper, higher-resolution display on paper
Both phones are listed with 144Hz refresh rates and screens of nearly the same size, but the panel specifications differ substantially. 91mobiles lists the realme 16T with a 6.8-inch 720×1570 HD+ LCD. The vivo T5 Pro is listed with a 6.83-inch 1260×2800 1.5K AMOLED display; Vivo’s India store also confirms its 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 2800×1260 resolution. If fine text, detailed images, and AMOLED panel technology matter to you, Vivo has the clearer specification advantage. These figures alone do not establish which screen you will personally prefer.
Vivo’s listed chipset is stronger; benchmark figures need context
The comparison lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the Vivo and a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 in the Realme. 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,167,242 for the T5 Pro and 633,631 for the 16T in its 2026 comparison. The article text available for these figures does not specify the benchmark version or test protocol, so treat them as attributed comparison results rather than directly comparable guarantees of everyday speed. On listed processor specifications, Vivo is the stronger choice for demanding workloads and gaming; the Realme may still be adequate if your use is mainly messaging, browsing, video, and lighter apps.

Both phones prioritize battery capacity, but Vivo charges faster
91mobiles lists an 8,000mAh battery and 45W charging for the realme 16T, versus 9,020mAh and 90W for the vivo T5 Pro. Vivo’s official India page independently confirms the T5 Pro’s 9,020mAh battery and 90W charging. The comparison also reports PCMark battery-test results of 17.7 hours for Realme and 18.7 hours for Vivo. Those are results from the cited test, not promises of everyday runtime: actual endurance depends on brightness, network conditions, apps, and other usage.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Rear camera resolutions match, but Vivo has more front-camera pixels
The comparison lists a 50MP main rear camera and a 2MP secondary rear camera on each phone. It lists a 16MP front camera for Realme and a 32MP front camera for Vivo; Vivo’s product page identifies its rear cameras as a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor plus a 2MP bokeh camera, and confirms a 32MP front camera. The higher front-camera resolution is a specification difference, not proof of better selfies. No controlled head-to-head photo test is established by these sources, so do not choose on image quality from megapixel counts alone.

Software support favors Vivo in the dated comparison
In its 25 May 2026 article, 91mobiles says Vivo promised up to three OS upgrades and five years of security patches for the T5 Pro. It also says Realme had not disclosed an update policy specifically for the 16T at that article’s publication time. That is a dated comparison, not confirmation of the current policy for either model; check current, model-specific manufacturer support information before buying if update longevity is a priority. Do not assume another Realme phone’s policy applies to this model.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to make the value call
- Choose the vivo T5 Pro if: its same-RAM, same-storage checkout price is close to the Realme’s and you value the 1.5K AMOLED display, the stronger listed processor, or 90W charging.
- Consider the realme 16T if: it is meaningfully cheaper in the configuration you want, and you are comfortable with its listed HD+ LCD and Dimensity 6300 in exchange for a large 8,000mAh battery and lower outlay.
- Before paying: compare exact RAM/storage, seller, delivery location, stock, discounts and return terms. Do not compare a Realme launch price with a Vivo retailer snapshot or different memory variant.
91mobiles reports IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings for the Realme and IP68/IP69 for the Vivo, but the cited material is a third-party comparison. Verify the exact India-model rating in official documentation before relying on it. An IP rating is not a promise that liquid damage is covered by warranty.
