Which display is better for you?
Choose realme for sharper detail and AMOLED
The realme 16’s 1080 × 2372 AMOLED panel lists substantially more pixels than the vivo’s 1570 × 720 LCD. That makes realme the more appealing specification-led choice for fine text and detailed images, while AMOLED may suit buyers who prefer that panel technology. These specifications do not establish which display looks better in person.

At 6.75 inches, the vivo screen is larger than the realme’s 6.57-inch display, and both are listed at 120 Hz. The comparison source’s category label for the vivo resolution conflicts with its own pixel dimensions; 1570 × 720 is best described as HD+ class, not “QHD (2k).”

Performance: avoid declaring a winner from clock speed
The comparison lists the Dimensity 6400 Turbo in the realme 16 and the Dimensity 7360 Turbo in the vivo Y51 Pro, with both chips shown at up to 2.5 GHz. A shared listed maximum clock speed does not make their performance equal, and chipset names alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or gaming.
vivo says the Y51 Pro scored 920,000+ on AnTuTu Benchmark V11 in laboratory testing of the 8 GB + 256 GB model. This is a manufacturer-reported result, not an independently verified head-to-head benchmark against the realme 16.

Camera comparison: resolution is not image quality
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main rear camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera. The pixel counts do not prove that their photos are equally good: image processing, optics and shooting conditions also matter. vivo specifies 4K recording at 30 fps for the Y51 Pro’s rear camera.
The realme 16 has the higher listed front-camera resolution, 50 MP versus 8 MP on the vivo. That is a useful distinction if selfie-camera resolution is a priority, but megapixels alone cannot determine which phone produces better selfies.

Battery capacity, charging and vivo’s lab figures
vivo lists a 7200 mAh typical battery capacity and a 7060 mAh rated capacity for the Y51 Pro; its page says actual performance varies with software, environment and usage. The comparison lists a 7000 mAh battery for the realme 16. The 200 mAh difference does not establish a runtime advantage without comparable testing.
Listed charging is 60 W for realme and 44 W for vivo, so realme has the higher stated charging wattage. Wattage alone does not establish actual charging time.

vivo also reports laboratory playback and usage figures for the Y51 Pro: 95 hours of music playback, 23.7 hours of video playback, 14.6 hours of navigation and 15.4 hours of MOBA gaming. These are manufacturer figures, not a directly comparable test of both phones; real-world results depend on usage and conditions.
Durability and protection
vivo advertises IP68 and IP69 ratings for the Y51 Pro. Those are manufacturer-stated ingress-protection ratings, not a promise that the phone is damage-proof. The comparison source does not list a protection rating for the realme 16, so this comparison cannot establish equivalent protection for it.
Price difference: check the exact variant
When 91mobiles was accessed, it displayed ₹36,999 for the realme 16 and ₹32,995 for the vivo Y51 Pro—a ₹4,004 gap, with vivo lower. These are volatile marketplace figures, not guaranteed current or official prices. Both phones are listed with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options; compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller and offer terms before deciding.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Pick the realme 16 if AMOLED, higher listed display resolution, a 50 MP front camera or higher listed charging wattage matter most to you.
- Pick the vivo Y51 Pro 5G if you prefer a larger screen, slightly higher stated typical battery capacity or the manufacturer’s IP68/IP69 rating.
- Compare current listings carefully if price is decisive: the cited ₹4,004 difference is a captured snapshot, not a live-price guarantee.
- Do not choose on assumed speed, camera quality or endurance from these specifications alone; the available figures do not provide a comparable independent test of both phones.
