Motorola’s official Japan and US sources list different Edge 70 Fusion chipsets, and Motorola says specifications may vary by market. The Motorola display and rear-camera details in this table are from Japan; its front-camera figure is from US support material.

Which phone has the better screen?
On the listed specifications, Motorola’s Japan configuration has the larger, higher-resolution display and a higher maximum refresh rate: about 6.78 inches and up to 144 Hz, versus realme’s 6.57 inches and up to 120 Hz. That may appeal if you prioritize screen size or smoother supported motion. The listed figures do not establish which panel looks better in everyday use; brightness, color tuning, and other viewing conditions are not compared here.

How do the cameras differ?
Rear cameras
Motorola’s Japanese listing gives the Edge 70 Fusion a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 13 MP ultra-wide/macro camera. The India realme 16 listing has a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP monochrome camera. The Motorola listing therefore describes a distinct ultra-wide option and OIS on its main camera; the realme listing emphasizes a higher-resolution selfie camera. Megapixel counts alone cannot establish overall image quality.
Selfies
realme lists a 50 MP front camera. Motorola’s US support page lists a 32 MP front camera. These are figures from different regional sources, so verify the front-camera specification for the specific Motorola model on sale. Resolution alone does not show which phone takes better selfies.

Battery capacity and charging
realme specifies a 7,000 mAh typical battery and a 6,830 mAh rated capacity for the India model, with 60 W charging. Motorola’s cited Japan and US listings specify a 7,000 mAh battery and 68 W charging. Those manufacturer figures describe capacity and charging power, not independently established endurance or the time either phone takes to charge.
realme also says its internal lab testing found at least 80% battery capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, which it equates to approximately six years under its modeled usage. This is a manufacturer test claim, not an independent result. realme product page.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the India realme 16 5G if the specific India model suits you and you value its listed 50 MP selfie camera, storage-card support, or available 8 GB and 12 GB memory configurations.
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if the exact regional variant available to you offers the larger, higher-refresh-rate screen or the camera configuration you want. The Japanese listing includes an OIS main camera and ultra-wide/macro camera; confirm those features on the model sold in your market.
- Use the price snapshot cautiously. The displayed India Motorola offer was cheaper, but it came from a different retailer than the realme offer. Compare the same storage tier, current checkout totals, and warranty terms before treating the gap as a value advantage.
Check the exact model before buying
- Match the market. Confirm the country and regional model number. Motorola’s cited Japan and US pages list different chipsets, and Motorola warns that specifications vary by market.
- Match the configuration. Verify RAM and storage, and whether the specific device supports a storage card if that matters to you.
- Confirm local compatibility. Check network bands, warranty coverage, and seller terms for your country rather than assuming an imported variant is equivalent.
- Compare the final price. Check stock, bank offers, exchange discounts, and the exact configuration at checkout; retailer listings can change.
