The realme 16 Pro+ 5G has the larger display, a higher stated refresh rate and a bigger typical battery; the vivo V70 Elite lists a higher-tier Snapdragon platform, faster charging and IP68/IP69 ratings. Price depends on the RAM and storage configuration: the phones do not share the same entry tier, and the available retail figures are dated observations rather than a guaranteed live comparison.

How the price difference compares by configuration
As observed on 7 October 2026, the vivo India store displayed ₹71,999 for the V70 Elite 12GB+256GB in Authentic Black, against an MRP of ₹89,999; that selected listing was marked out of stock. The displayed price applies to that variant, not every V70 Elite configuration.

Which phone’s specifications fit your priorities?
Choose realme if the screen and nominal battery capacity lead
- The 6.8-inch-class display is larger than the vivo’s 6.59-inch display, and its stated maximum refresh rate is 144 Hz rather than 120 Hz.
- Its typical battery capacity is listed as 7000 mAh, compared with 6500 mAh for vivo. Capacity alone does not establish real-world endurance.
- The rear camera specifications include a 200 MP main camera alongside a 50 MP telephoto and 8 MP ultra-wide.
Choose vivo if the listed platform, charging or durability rating matters more
- vivo lists the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while realme lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. These specifications alone do not establish gaming speed or sustained performance.
- Its stated charging maximum is 90W versus realme’s 80W; wattage alone does not establish how long a full charge takes.
- The V70 Elite lists IP68 and IP69 ingress ratings and a 50 MP telephoto with autofocus and optical image stabilization.
- It offers a 12GB+512GB option, while the listed realme configurations top out at 12GB+256GB.
Camera, display and battery figures: what they do not tell you
Megapixel counts identify camera sensor resolution, not which phone will take better photos. Likewise, display size, resolution and refresh rate do not establish outdoor visibility or overall display quality. realme lists brightness figures of 600 nit normal, 1000 nit via the settings bar, 1800 nit HBM and 6500 nit APL; vivo lists a 5000-nit local peak. These differently labelled manufacturer figures should not be treated as directly comparable peak-brightness measurements.
Rank #2
- The larger 6.9-inch display enhances productivity and media consumption, giving extra room for multitasking, side-by-side apps, and immersive viewing without feeling unwieldy in hand.
- Camera improvements focus on ultra-wide performance, capturing more detail at the edges of the frame and reducing distortion, making landscape shots, group photos, and architecture photography cleaner.
- Refined gesture controls and haptic feedback make interactions feel more precise, so scrolling, tapping, or switching between apps is smoother and more satisfying compared to previous Plus models.
- Audio enhancements optimize speaker output for spatial awareness, delivering clearer separation between instruments and voices in music, video playback, and FaceTime calls without relying on headphones.
- Durable yet lightweight materials balance heft and portability, with a subtly textured back and reinforced edges that improve grip while maintaining the premium appearance expected from the Plus series.
The available specifications do not establish comparative camera quality, measured battery endurance, charging time, gaming performance under load or software-update duration. If any of those will decide your purchase, seek comparable independent tests for the exact models rather than inferring a result from the spec sheet.
