Outlook Business independently reports that same price pair for the 8GB+128GB configuration, so that is the configuration shown here.

What the increase means for buyers
The largest reported rise is ₹5,000, affecting the Realme 16 5G 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. Outlook Business calculated the 8GB+128GB model’s increase at around 13.5% from its reported old and new prices; that percentage is an outlet calculation, not a separate market study. The 8GB+256GB Realme 16 5G rose by ₹4,000. The Realme 16T 5G’s three listed configurations each rose by ₹1,000.

Realme India’s official store lists both models, but a readable price for either was not available in the captured store information.
Why did Realme raise the prices?
Outlook Business reported that a Realme India communication to retail partners attributed the increases to rising memory, chipset and broader smartphone ecosystem costs. That is the company’s stated explanation; the reports do not provide an independent analysis establishing how much each cost contributed to the changes.

Retailer association response
Kailash Lakhyani, founder chairman of the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA), criticized the timing, saying: “Such counterproductive management decisions right at the start of festive buying will alienate consumers, validate market instability, and cause major harm to Mainline retail.” This is Lakhyani’s assessment, not a measured finding about consumer behavior or retailer losses.
