The realme 14 Pro+ 5G stands out for a rare feature in its class: a 50MP 3× optical periscope camera with optical image stabilization. Pair that with a large battery, a 120Hz OLED screen and manufacturer-rated IP protection, and it looks like a versatile all-rounder. GSMArena’s January 2025 review praised its display, still cameras and battery life, but noted weaker rear video, shallow-sounding speakers and performance that lagged some segment rivals. This is a review-based assessment, not a new hands-on test.
realme 14 Pro+ verdict: a camera-focused all-rounder with trade-offs
The phone’s strongest case is its combination of hardware: a stabilized 3× periscope telephoto camera, a high-resolution OLED display and a 6,000mAh typical-capacity battery. GSMArena’s review described the screen as bright, the cameras as versatile and reliable for day and night stills, and battery life as very good. It also praised ordinary-use performance and the smooth user experience.

The trade-offs matter if you prioritize video, gaming or media playback. GSMArena listed no HDR video support, rear video quality that fell short, shallow-sounding speakers and performance that was not competitive within the segment. Those are that publication’s findings, not results from a new test here. The review is dated 28 January 2025, so its market comparisons and availability comments should not be treated as current local buying advice.

Camera review: the 3× periscope is the headline
The Saudi regional specification lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with a 73mm-equivalent focal length, f/2.65 aperture and OIS. A dedicated optical telephoto camera gives the phone a useful framing option for distant subjects and portraits without relying only on digital cropping. GSMArena described the still-camera experience as versatile and reliable in both day and night conditions.

The rear camera system also includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera (24mm equivalent, f/1.8, OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 16mm-equivalent focal length and 112° field of view. The front camera is listed at 32MP. The specification page lists rear video recording up to 4K at 30fps; resolution alone does not establish video quality, and GSMArena criticized the rear video in its review.
Display, battery and charging
realme’s Saudi specification lists a 6.83-inch OLED panel at 2800 × 1272 pixels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. GSMArena called the display bright and included it among the phone’s strengths. The cited specifications do not establish HDR video support; GSMArena specifically lists its absence as a con.

The battery is rated at 6,000mAh typical capacity and 5,860mAh minimum, with 80W SUPERVOOC charging listed for the Saudi configuration. GSMArena judged battery life very good. Charging speed and included charger can vary by region: realme’s Saudi package list includes an 80W adapter, while GSMArena reported that the EU retail box did not include a power adapter.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesPerformance and software
The Saudi regional specifications list a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage options. They also list realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. GSMArena found performance good for ordinary use and described the interface experience as smooth, while judging performance uncompetitive against some phones in the segment. That distinction is more useful than treating the device as either universally fast or slow: the review’s concern is relative performance, particularly when comparing alternatives, not an assertion that routine use is poor.

Durability: what IP69, IP68 and IP66 do—and do not—mean
realme’s India product page says the phone passed IP69, IP68 and IP66 tests. For its stated IP68 test, the company specifies still clear water at 1.5 metres for 30 minutes, with water temperature within 5°C of the device. These are manufacturer claims under defined test conditions, not a promise that a particular phone will survive every spill or immersion.

realme warns that resistance can decline with wear and that immersion-related water damage is not covered by warranty. It also says the handset is not designed for professional diving. Do not treat the phone as waterproof or deliberately expose it to water on the assumption that an IP rating guarantees protection.
How it compares with the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ and Poco X7 Pro
GSMArena’s 2025 comparison framed the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ as offering display features and faster charging, while the realme’s advantages were longer battery life, a dedicated 3× optical camera and its selfie camera. Against the Poco X7 Pro, the trade-off was gaming and multimedia performance and price versus the realme’s camera versatility. These are review-era comparisons, not a current ranking: prices, stock and regional configurations change, so check local offers and versions before choosing.

Availability and what to check before buying
GSMArena characterized availability as limited in its review. The Saudi specification and EU box observation also show why package details should be checked by market rather than assumed from a general product listing. Before ordering, confirm:
Quick Recap
- The exact regional model, memory and storage configuration, and supported network bands—especially local 5G compatibility.
- Whether the box includes a power adapter and protective case. realme lists both in its Saudi package contents; GSMArena says the EU box lacks a power adapter.
- The local warranty terms, current price, stock and software build.
- If buying a separate charger, whether it is compatible with 80W SUPERVOOC and the phone’s regional variant.
