Is the realme 11 worth buying? The 5G model reviewed in 2023 was a capable everyday phone, with a smooth 120Hz screen, long-lasting battery, fast charging and a detailed main camera in daylight. Its weaknesses included low-light and portrait photography, a single speaker and preinstalled software. Whether it is worth buying now depends on the exact regional model, price, condition, network compatibility and update status. “realme 11” also refers to a distinct 4G model, so check the variant before comparing specifications or buying.
First, identify which realme 11 you are considering
The name covers materially different phones in different markets. The official realme pages list a 5G model for India and a 4G model for the Philippines; their screens, chipsets and connectivity differ. Do not assume a listing for one version describes the other.

The verdict below focuses on the realme 11 5G reviewed by MySmartPrice, not on a newly tested device and not on the Philippines 4G model.
What the realme 11 5G does well
Comfortable everyday performance
In its review published on October 3, 2023, MySmartPrice described everyday operation as smooth and said the phone handled casual gaming. That is a reviewer’s assessment of the 5G unit at the time, not a current benchmark or a guarantee for every app and workload.

Large, high-refresh display
The India 5G model’s 6.72-inch FHD+ panel supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. That gives scrolling and supported animations the potential to look smoother than on a standard-refresh display. The Philippines 4G model instead has a smaller 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED screen, so display descriptions should be tied to the precise version.
Fast charging and a substantial battery
realme lists a 5000mAh typical battery and 67W charging for the 5G phone; the India specification page also gives a 4890mAh minimum capacity. On its Global page, realme claims 0–50% charging in 17 minutes and up to 18.7 hours of video playback. These are realme Lab figures, not promises of normal use: the company says results vary with test environment, usage and battery aging. See realme’s Global product page.

MySmartPrice’s 2023 review reported more than five hours of screen time in most of its usage cases, up to six hours, and 12 hours 53 minutes in its PCMark battery test. The reviewer also recorded 50% charge in 30 minutes and a full charge in a little over an hour. Those are results from that review’s setup; they are separate from realme’s laboratory claims.

Detailed daylight main-camera photos
The 5G model’s rear cameras are a 108MP main camera and a 2MP portrait camera, with a 16MP front camera. MySmartPrice praised the 2023 review unit’s daylight focus, shutter response and detail, while noting that greens and blues could look overemphasized.

Low-light and portrait results are less dependable
MySmartPrice found weaker detail in low light and imperfect hair and edge handling in portrait shots. The rear setup has no dedicated telephoto camera: realme describes the 5G model’s crop-based feature as “3x In-sensor Zoom,” not optical zoom. Its India listing specifies video recording up to 1080p at 30fps.
Single-speaker sound
The 2023 reviewer criticized the phone’s mono speaker. If you often watch video or play games aloud, this is a practical limitation to check in person; headphones are an alternative, and the Philippines 4G listing specifies a 3.5mm headset jack, but that detail should not be assumed for every regional 5G unit.

Preinstalled software and update uncertainty
MySmartPrice noted preinstalled apps and Glance lock-screen content on its review unit, and reported that Glance could be disabled. This is a dated observation, not an audit of the software on a phone you might buy today. The official regional specification pages list realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13; they do not show the current security patch installed on an individual handset.

MySmartPrice reported in 2023 that realme had promised two years of software upgrades and three years of security patches. That report does not establish the current rollout or patch status in every region. On a used or refurbished device, open its update settings and check local support information before purchase.

Should you buy the realme 11?
The realme 11 5G can make sense if you want a large high-refresh display, fast wired charging and a main camera suited to daylight photos, and the exact handset is priced appropriately for its age and condition. It is a less compelling choice if low-light photography, portrait cutouts, stereo sound or confirmed long-term software support are priorities.
No current price, inventory or device-specific patch status is established here, so there is no defensible blanket “best deal” verdict for October 2026. Before paying, verify the model number and market, confirm local network-band compatibility with your carrier, check battery condition and warranty, and inspect the installed security-patch date. For a 4G listing, judge it separately: it has the Helio G99 and 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED display rather than the 5G phone’s Dimensity 6100+ and 6.72-inch up-to-120Hz display.
