Top Tier Capital Partners led the round, which also included Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12 (Microsoft’s venture fund), and existing investors. Reach says it will use the funding for product innovation, integration partnerships, international expansion, and continued growth with U.S. enterprise and federal customers.
What Reach Security does
Reach describes its platform as an AI-native security-controls operating system and exposure-management platform. Instead of asking only whether a vulnerability exists, it reads the live configuration of security products an organization already owns and determines whether an attack path is actually blocked or reachable.

The platform identifies the specific rule or control responsible for the result, highlights gaps and drift, and can help remediate changes. That focus is intended to show which defenses are reducing exposure in the customer’s real environment, rather than producing another list of theoretical weaknesses.
Why the Series B matters
Reach said the new capital is earmarked for four priorities:
#1 Best Overall
- Product innovation in security-control validation and exposure management
- Additional integrations and technology partnerships
- International expansion
- Continued enterprise and federal growth in the United States
The company also said its customer base doubled during the 12 months before the announcement. Named customers include Autodesk, Insurity, MPS, and Ensemble Health Partners.
How the platform works
Validate controls against reachable attack paths
Reach evaluates security controls in context: the deployed configuration, the assets it protects, and the techniques an attacker could use. It can prioritize exposures that remain reachable after existing controls are considered, helping teams distinguish urgent gaps from findings already covered by a working defense.
Find drift and unused capabilities
Security products often change configuration over time, and organizations may pay for capabilities that are not enabled. Reach’s Capabilities View categorizes capabilities as “Not in Use,” “In Use,” or “Optimized.” Its Threat Evidence Analytics and User Impact Metrics add evidence about how controls affect threats and users.
ConfigIQ Drift, introduced in 2025, lets teams define configuration baselines or “gold images” and detect deviations across SaaS and on-premises security products from one centralized location.
Map controls to adversary techniques
A 2025 platform update said Reach combines MITRE ATT&CK with MITRE D3FEND. The resulting view maps adversary techniques to actual control implementation and guides action based on what is truly exposed, rather than relying solely on a product inventory or vulnerability score.
Route verified remediation
Teams can stage configuration changes for verification and route work through ServiceNow or Jira. Reach also describes staged automation, allowing an organization to validate a proposed change before applying it broadly.
What Reach Everywhere adds
Reach Everywhere extends validated control insights through an API, an MCP server, and a technology-partner ecosystem. Those interfaces are designed to feed exposure-management, security-operations, incident-response, compliance, and AI-security workflows with evidence about what controls are actually doing.

That architecture is significant for organizations building AI-assisted security workflows: an automated action can use a verified control state instead of assuming that a listed product is configured correctly. Reach co-founder and CTO Colt Blackmore summarized the risk this way: “A compensating control that cannot be verified is not a mitigation. It’s an assumption.”

Does Reach replace existing security tools?
No. Its stated approach is to inspect and activate the security products an enterprise already operates. The current integration list includes endpoint, email, identity, network, ticketing, and security-platform products such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, Okta, Jira, ServiceNow, Abnormal Security, Palo Alto Networks, Ping Identity, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Netskope, Zscaler, Fortinet, and Cisco.
Reach therefore occupies a different position from tools whose primary job is to discover assets, scan for vulnerabilities, or monitor an external attack surface.
| Question | Reach’s stated focus | Typical distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Are deployed controls working in context? | Yes; it evaluates live configuration and reachable attack paths. | Vulnerability management commonly starts with weaknesses and affected assets. |
| Is configuration drift detected? | Yes, including centralized baselines through ConfigIQ Drift. | Asset-inventory products may record configuration without continuously validating control effect. |
| Can existing capabilities be activated? | Yes; the platform identifies unused or underused capabilities. | External-surface tools generally do not change internal security-product settings. |
| How is remediation handled? | Through verification, staged automation, ServiceNow, and Jira workflows. | Workflow depth varies by vulnerability, CAASM, and EASM product. |
Company history and product development
Reach announced a $20 million financing round led by Ballistic Ventures in March 2024, positioning the company as software for getting more value from cybersecurity products organizations already own.

Reach’s product site claims that the platform can detect misconfigurations in less than five minutes, investigate them in less than 30 minutes, and remediate them in less than three hours. These are company-site claims, not independently verified benchmark results.
Reach also reported an ROI analysis by TAG Infosphere that found more than 160 hours saved per week and a 156% return. Those figures are vendor-reported or vendor-commissioned findings, so they should not be treated as a universal result for every deployment.

What the funding signals
The financing gives Reach resources to expand a security-control-plane thesis: enterprises may already have substantial defensive tooling, but lack a continuously verified record of which controls work, which have drifted, and which can be used more effectively. Top Tier Capital Partners General Partner and CEO Garth Timoll said the company is creating a trusted source of truth for controls that can support AI-driven security workflows.
