RBC’s Vantage Snapshot is a feature inside the RBC Mobile app that gives eligible customers a personalized view of certain cost savings and available Avion points, along with tips for finding more. RBC launched it in 2022; it is not a bank account or a separate app.
What Vantage Snapshot shows
The Snapshot summarizes selected benefits associated with a customer’s eligible RBC banking products. Depending on the products and activity in the customer’s profile, its Cost Savings view may include:

- Monthly account-fee savings
- Annual credit-card-fee rebates
- Petro-Canada fuel savings
- RBC welcome offers
It can also show the customer’s total available Avion points balance, with a breakdown by product. The information is personalized, so two customers may see different items or totals.
Who can access it and where to find it
RBC says customers need an eligible RBC bank account, RBC Online Banking and the RBC Mobile app. The Snapshot appears once the customer has saved at least $2 or earned at least 1 Avion point. RBC says private banking clients cannot access the feature.

If the option or a Snapshot is not visible, the account may not be eligible or the customer may not yet have reached either activity threshold.
How to interpret the amounts and points
RBC’s Cost Savings figures cover the calendar year, January 1 through December 31. Not every amount updates on the same schedule, so the view may not reflect all activity in real time. RBC also says U.S.-dollar accounts and Leo’s Young Savers accounts are excluded from Cost Savings details.
The displayed savings are a summary of specified benefits, not a guarantee that every RBC customer receives the same savings or rewards. Check the underlying account, card or offer terms to understand eligibility and how a particular benefit is calculated.

Vantage, Vantage Snapshot and the Value Program
RBC Vantage is RBC’s broader description of benefits associated with eligible bank accounts. Vantage Snapshot is the in-app summary of selected savings and rewards. The Value Program is one way customers may receive benefits that can contribute to what the Snapshot shows, including qualifying fee rebates and Avion points on debit purchases. These terms are related, but they are not interchangeable: having the Snapshot does not mean every benefit applies to every account.
When RBC introduced the feature
MobileSyrup reported the launch on March 10, 2022. At the time, RBC senior vice president of everyday banking Jason Storsley described the feature as part of the bank’s effort to enhance its everyday banking offering and show customers value from their day-to-day banking. Those were RBC’s statements about its aims; they do not establish a measured customer savings outcome.
