Razer’s Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed – Kuromi Edition turns Sanrio’s mischievous goth rabbit into hardware in the most literal way yet: the charging case is sculpted as Kuromi’s head. A Kuromi head instead of a generic charging case
The unusual part is structural, not just cosmetic. Razer shaped the case like Kuromi’s hooded head, including covered ears and a three-dimensional skull-and-bow motif. The status LED sits in the widow’s-peak area, while a USB-C port on the bottom handles charging. Each earbud stem carries Kuromi’s skull emblem, and the case uses a lilac-and-black color scheme.

Razer announced the model on September 29, 2026, as part of its Sanrio collaboration and called it the company’s first Kuromi-themed gaming earbuds. The earbuds are based on Razer’s gaming-focused Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed platform. The included HyperSpeed Case serves two jobs: it charges the earbuds and houses the wireless receiver for 2.4 GHz connectivity. Razer lists compatibility with mobile devices, PC, PlayStation 5 and Steam Deck. The exact experience depends on the connection method: 2.4 GHz requires the HyperSpeed receiver, while Bluetooth is used where supported. The 35-hour figure is a maximum rating from Razer for the combined system, not 35 hours of continuous listening from the earbuds alone. Razer specifies up to 10 hours for the earbuds and up to 25 additional hours from the case. Actual runtime will vary with connection mode, volume and other usage settings.

Is the $20 premium worth it?
GamesRadar+ reported a launch price of $119.99, which it says is $20 more than the plain Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds. That makes the premium a payment for the sculpted Kuromi hardware and themed styling rather than a documented increase in wireless standards, battery rating or platform support.
