Verdict: The Razer Kiyo V2 Pro is a newly announced US$299.99 webcam that combines 4K video at 60 frames per second, AI auto-framing, HDR and DSLR-style manual controls. Those specifications make it a serious creator tool on paper, but independent testing has not yet established its autofocus behavior, microphone quality or sustained real-world 4K60 performance.
Razer announced the Kiyo V2 Pro on September 24, 2026, positioning it for gamers, streamers and other creators who want high-resolution camera output without buying a DSLR. The official US purchase page lists it at US$299.99; availability, delivery estimates and inventory can change, so check the live listing before ordering.

What the Kiyo V2 Pro is designed to do
The central feature is 4K capture at 60 FPS. That combination provides more detail than a conventional 1080p webcam and smoother motion than 4K models limited to 30 FPS. It is useful for face-cam streams, tutorials, product demonstrations and recordings that may be cropped or reframed in editing.
Inside is a Sony STARVIS 2 back-illuminated sensor. Razer says the sensor captures more light in near-dark conditions and reduces motion blur. Those are manufacturer claims rather than results from an independent Kiyo V2 Pro test, so room lighting and final image quality should be treated as open questions.

AI framing and image controls
Automatic subject framing
The webcam’s AI auto-framing uses intelligent pan, tilt and zoom effects to keep the subject centered during calls or streams. That can help when you move around a desk or stand while presenting, although the accuracy and smoothness of the effect still require Pro-specific testing.
One-click enhancement
Razer’s one-click enhancement is intended to automate exposure, white balance and noise reduction. The feature is aimed at mixed color temperatures, backlighting and changing low-light conditions, reducing the amount of adjustment needed before a call or broadcast.

Manual, DSLR-style adjustment
Razer Synapse exposes ISO, shutter speed, white balance, exposure and gain. Manual access matters to creators who want a consistent look across sessions or need to prevent automatic exposure from shifting when a bright screen enters the frame. It also means the camera can be tuned to the lighting and motion requirements of a particular setup instead of relying entirely on presets.
HDR, privacy and mounting
The Kiyo V2 Pro supports the ultra-high dynamic range mode Razer advertises for brighter highlights and deeper shadows. HDR can be helpful when a subject sits near a bright window, but its practical benefit depends on the scene, software pipeline and display; no independent measurement is available yet.

A twist-integrated privacy shutter physically covers the lens when the camera is not in use. The mount pivots for monitor placement and supports tripod positioning, giving creators more flexibility than a fixed clip. Razer also documents compatibility with universal 1/4-inch tripod or desk mounts.
Software, platforms and included value
Every unit includes a free lifetime Pro license for Camo Studio. Razer says the webcam works with OBS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other major platforms. In practice, the host computer and application must still expose the desired resolution and frame-rate options, and 4K60 capture requires a sufficiently fast USB connection and an application that supports those settings.

How to use it for streaming or calls
- Attach the pivoting mount to a monitor or a compatible 1/4-inch tripod/desk mount, then rotate the lens toward your seated or standing position.
- Connect the webcam with a suitable high-bandwidth USB-C cable. For 4K60, use a USB 3.x connection and a computer with enough processing and bandwidth for the selected mode.
- Open Razer Synapse to choose automatic enhancement or set ISO, shutter speed, white balance, exposure and gain manually.
- Enable AI auto-framing when you want pan, tilt and zoom to follow you; disable it when a fixed composition is more important.
- In OBS, Zoom, Teams or another supported application, select the Kiyo V2 Pro as the camera and microphone device, then choose the highest mode the software and computer can sustain.
- Twist the integrated shutter closed whenever the camera should be physically blocked.
Who should consider it
Good fit for creators
- Streamers who want 4K detail and 60-FPS motion in a single webcam.
- Presenters who move during demonstrations and can benefit from AI framing.
- Users who need repeatable manual exposure and color controls rather than basic automatic webcam settings.
- People whose rooms include backlighting or difficult contrast and who want to try HDR and one-click correction.
Reasons to wait
- The US$299.99 price is a premium over ordinary 1080p webcams.
- No independent Pro-specific review has established autofocus reliability, microphone quality, sustained 4K60 operation, thermal limits or comparative value.
- 4K60 only helps if the computer, USB connection and chosen application can handle the data rate.
What is still unknown
Official specifications establish the feature set, but they do not answer several practical questions: whether autofocus hunts when a subject moves, how clean the microphone sounds in a noisy room, whether 4K60 remains stable during long broadcasts, and how much improvement STARVIS 2 and HDR deliver in typical home lighting. Those points should be checked in a dedicated hands-on review before treating the Kiyo V2 Pro as a proven replacement for a camera-and-microphone setup.

The Kiyo V2 Pro is best understood as a high-end, feature-rich webcam rather than a confirmed bargain. Its 4K60 output, AI framing, HDR, manual controls, privacy shutter, flexible mounting and bundled Camo Studio license give it a broad creator-oriented specification sheet. At US$299.99, it makes the most sense for buyers who will use those capabilities and are comfortable paying for them before independent performance data is available.
