The 2022 Razer Blade 17 with an RTX 3080 Ti is a high-end gaming laptop, but its performance and screen depend on the exact configuration. Razer offered several GPU, processor, memory and display options under the Blade 17 name, so figures from one review unit should not be treated as results for every model. Independent testing found strong performance in specific games; the available evidence does not establish a universal frame rate or a current buying price.
Which Razer Blade 17 is this review about?
Razer’s 2022 Blade 17 family is identified as model series RZ09-0423x. Its configurations include RTX 3060, RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPUs; 12th-generation Intel Core i7-12800H or Core i9-12900H processors; and 16 GB or 32 GB of memory. The RTX 3080 Ti option has 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. These specifications are from Razer’s Blade 17 (2022) support specifications.

Razer announced the 2022 Blade range, including the Blade 17, on January 4, 2022, describing graphics options up to the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU. That launch context confirms the model year, but does not make all Blade 17 configurations equivalent. Razer’s CES 2022 announcement

Razer’s support specifications list up to 165 W for the RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU, while its product-page language says up to 175 W for RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti models. Because those official sources give different maximums, neither figure should be assigned confidently to every RTX 3080 Ti Blade 17 without confirming the exact SKU. A GPU name alone is not enough to settle its configured power limit.

What does the RTX 3080 Ti configuration offer?
The main attraction is a high-end mobile GPU paired with a 12th-generation Intel processor, in a chassis sold with several screen choices. The RTX 3080 Ti’s 16 GB GDDR6 capacity is an official specification, not a promise that every game will run at a particular frame rate. Actual results vary with the selected display resolution, game, settings, power profile and test configuration.
What display options were available?
Razer lists four display variants for the 2022 Blade 17: Full HD at 360 Hz, QHD at 165 Hz, QHD at 240 Hz, and UHD at 144 Hz. A high refresh rate can suit fast-paced games, while higher resolution prioritizes image detail; the panel choice is part of the configuration, not a single fixed feature of the product family. Razer’s full variant list is in its official support specifications.

TechRadar’s RTX 3080 Ti review unit paired the GPU with a Core i7-12800H and a 240 Hz 1440p display. That is one specific combination, not evidence that every RTX 3080 Ti unit has that screen or processor. TechRadar’s 2022 Blade 17 review
How fast is it in games?
Tom’s Hardware measured 116 fps on its RTX 3080 Ti Blade 17 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p with the highest settings. In that same test, the review reported 112 fps for the MSI GE76 Raider, 107 fps for the Alienware x17 R2 and 89 fps for the Aorus 17. These are results from that reviewer’s particular test systems and workload, not expected frame rates across all games or Blade 17 configurations. Tom’s Hardware’s Blade 17 review

Is the 2022 Blade 17 RTX 3080 Ti worth considering?
It is worth considering if you specifically want a 2022 Blade 17 with the RTX 3080 Ti and can verify the exact configuration, condition and warranty. The model family spans multiple screens and components, and official Razer sources differ on the RTX 3080 Ti’s maximum graphics power. The benchmark evidence supports strong performance in a particular game test, not a blanket claim about every workload. For a used or refurbished unit, check the SKU and panel, processor, memory, seller and warranty rather than relying on the Blade 17 or RTX 3080 Ti name alone.
