Neither mouse is an established all-around winner: choose based on hand fit, preferred controls and wheel behavior, wireless needs, and the price available when you buy. Razer’s Basilisk V4 Pro puts its headline emphasis on a customizable control layout, a HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, and a Focus Pro 50K sensor. Logitech’s G502 X Plus centers on LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless, and LIGHTSYNC RGB. Manufacturer specifications offer useful feature comparisons, but they do not establish which mouse performs or feels better in real use.
What’s different about the two mice?
These are both feature-rich wireless gaming mice, but their manufacturers emphasize different parts of the experience. Razer highlights the Basilisk V4 Pro’s customizable controls, HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2, and RGB lighting. Logitech promotes the G502 X Plus’s LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless, LIGHTSYNC RGB, HERO sensor, and customization through G HUB. Those feature lists describe what each company advertises; they are not evidence of a performance winner.

How should you choose between them?
Start with shape and grip
Hand size and grip preference are decisive for a mouse you may use for long sessions. The available manufacturer information does not establish a hands-on fit advantage for either model. If possible, try each shape in person or buy from a seller with a suitable return policy. A specification sheet cannot tell you whether the contours and reach of the controls suit your hand.

The Basilisk V4 Pro’s defining control feature is Razer’s HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, alongside customizable controls. Logitech highlights customizable controls and LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches on the G502 X Plus. Think about whether wheel behavior and the ability to remap controls matter more to you than the switch design. The available product materials do not support a reliable numerical button-count comparison, so check the current specification for the exact version before relying on one.

Weigh wireless use and battery claims
Razer’s US product page claims up to 200 hours of battery life for the Basilisk V4 Pro. Logitech’s G502 X Plus material states up to 130 hours with RGB off and 37 hours with RGB always on. These are manufacturer figures with different stated lighting conditions, not results from a controlled head-to-head test. Your own battery life can depend on settings and use, so treat the numbers as vendor claims rather than a guarantee of which mouse will last longer for you.
Razer describes HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 for the Basilisk V4 Pro; Logitech describes LIGHTSPEED wireless for the G502 X Plus. The sources do not provide a comparative latency or connection-reliability test. If wireless performance is critical for your setup, look for independent testing of the exact models rather than assuming one branded wireless system is faster.

Don’t buy on sensor numbers alone
Razer identifies a Focus Pro 50K sensor in its Basilisk V4 Pro materials. Logitech’s US product pages conflict on the G502 X Plus: listing 910-006160 names HERO 25K, while listing 910-007808 names an upgraded HERO 44K. Confirm the specification for the exact Logitech listing you are considering. A higher advertised DPI figure by itself does not show that a mouse will improve your aim or suit your preferred sensitivity.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteConsider software and lighting features
Logitech identifies G HUB for customization, while Razer promotes configurable controls and Chroma lighting. These features may matter if you want to remap inputs or coordinate lighting with other devices. The available sources do not evaluate software usability or quality, so choose based on the functions and ecosystem you actually plan to use.

What do they cost, and are accessories required?
Razer’s US product page showed the Basilisk V4 Pro at US$169.99, and its catalog showed a US$209.99 bundle with the Mouse Dock V2 Pro. The dock and the separately listed HyperFlux V2 Wireless Charging System are optional accessories, not requirements for using the mouse.
Logitech’s US G502 X Plus page showed a list price of US$159.99 and a US$127.99 promotional price, but the promotion included an expired offer date. Do not treat that discount as current. Check both manufacturers’ US storefronts on the day you purchase, and compare standalone versions with standalone versions rather than using a bundle price as the mouse’s base price.

Which gaming mouse should you buy?
- Choose the Basilisk V4 Pro if its HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, customizable controls, or Razer’s feature set best match your preferences—and its current price works for you.
- Choose the G502 X Plus if you prefer its advertised LIGHTFORCE switches, LIGHTSPEED wireless, LIGHTSYNC RGB, or G HUB customization, after confirming the sensor specification for the listing you plan to buy.
- Choose by fit if neither feature list settles it: the available sources do not establish a comfort or handling winner, so try the shapes if you can.
For either model, seek independent testing if you need evidence about real-world performance, comfort, durability, or wireless behavior. Manufacturer specifications alone cannot answer those questions.
