Tom’s Guide reported the RayNeo GT Max at $364 on Amazon on October 6, 2026, during Prime Big Deal Days, down from RayNeo’s $429 US MSRP. The reported offer came about a month after the glasses’ September 4 international media debut at IFA. Check Amazon’s live listing before buying: the $364 price is a dated deal report, not a verified current price.
Is the RayNeo GT Max worth considering at $364?
At the reported price, the GT Max is aimed at people who want a private, large-format display for watching video, gaming or travel—not an all-purpose standalone computer. RayNeo announced it on August 21, 2026, and said retail sales began September 4 through its official store and Amazon. The IFA event in Berlin on September 4 was its international media debut and first hands-on demonstrations.

The deal comparison has two distinct sources and dates: RayNeo identified $429 as the US MSRP at IFA on September 4, while Tom’s Guide reported Amazon’s $364 price on October 6. RayNeo’s own October 2 spec article separately described its store as showing a $429 list price and a $399 launch-offer checkout price. Those are not interchangeable retailer prices; confirm the Amazon listing and final checkout total before deciding.

RayNeo publishes a 59-degree field of view (FOV) and three virtual-screen presets: 227, 267 and 307 inches. Those inch figures describe the apparent size of a virtual screen, not a physical panel. RayNeo’s spec explainer also lists a 0.6-inch SeeYa Micro-OLED panel with 1920 × 1080 resolution and 38 pixels per degree. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.

The company lists the glasses at 78 grams and offers three physical interpupillary distance (IPD) sizes: S for under 64 mm, M for 64–67 mm, and L for over 67 mm. Fit is worth checking before purchase, since the selected size corresponds to the distance between the pupils. RayNeo also describes hardware 3DoF tracking, with Steady, Pinned and Follow modes, and says the audio was co-tuned with Bang & Olufsen.
Dolby Vision requires a separate device
RayNeo says Dolby Vision playback is available when the GT Max is paired with its separately sold Pocket TV Pro. The glasses alone should not be treated as a Dolby Vision playback solution. The companion device is not described as necessary for ordinary use of the glasses; it is the stated requirement for that Dolby Vision feature. RayNeo’s product page displayed the Pocket TV Pro at $199 when accessed, but its price and availability can change.

What to check before ordering
- Current price and seller: The $364 figure was reported by Tom’s Guide for Amazon on October 6, 2026. Check the live listing, seller, stock and checkout price for your region.
- Fit: Compare your IPD with RayNeo’s S, M and L ranges, and consider the listed 78 g weight.
- Your intended setup: The GT Max is positioned as a personal cinema display. Check the retailer and RayNeo product information for the host-device connection and compatibility details that apply to your intended devices; the available dated deal report does not establish a complete compatibility list.
- Dolby Vision: Budget for Pocket TV Pro only if you specifically want the Dolby Vision playback RayNeo describes; it is sold separately.
How the timing lines up
RayNeo announced the GT Max on August 21, 2026, and said sales started September 4. Its September 4 IFA announcement called that event the product’s international media debut and first hands-on demonstrations. The October 6 Amazon deal report followed roughly one month after that debut.
